i can feel my head swelling as i sit here :D really they are simple to make, i usually get about 45-50 from my mix and there are so many variations that people have posted about, even making them as a traybake and that cuts the time making them even more, really glad you were pleased with the recipe
  • I've just let realbillbailey know of your lovely recipe on twitter as he was asking for the best cookie recipe. We all love them in our house!

I'm planning to make a batch tonight to bring into work tomorrow - we're having a bit of a rough time at present and thought they might cheer everyone up a little :)
  • I have just made my first ever batch of these after reading about them all over MSE. Oh my, they are really good! I halved the recipe as it's only the 2 of us but can't see them lasting the weekend. Actually, I should probably go and check they're still ok....
2012 is going to be my year - bring it on!:j

  • This has probably been done a million times before, I'm embarresed to even ask.

But can someone point me in the direction of Twinks world famous hob nobs please:o
Capital one was £1000.00 now £0.00:j
    Barclaycard was £250.00 now £190. 00
Asda credit card was £500.00 now £0.00:j
Aim to be credit card free by December 2012... Mostly done
  • Page one of this thread hun :) Martin inserted it at the top but to thank twink its post 4 I think :) hth

side note - these are on my valentine menu twink! as part of my "flirtacious fondue" dips, a bowl of hot melted choc, with a miriad of things to dip in it and share... including twinks!
The tray bake version I would be interested in finding out how people did it, as I ended up making them individually, still yum but the tray bake didnt work due to my inexperience I think :)

Do you think mincemeat would go well in twinks? I suppose it would be similar to using mixed fruit maybe???

I have half a big jar to use up so was thinking of muffins (reason why I bought it), in a fruit loaf thing and twinks.

I have just made heart shaped Twinks hobnobs for valentines day tomorrow, trouble is keeping them for tomorrow! to many family members want a few samples NOW.:(
If winter comes, can spring be far behind?
    Spring begins on 21st March.
  • I've been fantasising about Twinks HobNobs since I scoffed the last one a few days ago and thought I might have a go at replacing half of the butter/marge with peanut butter. Has anyone actually tried this before I maybe ruin a perfectly delicious batch of bickies?

worth a try though i might reduce the sugar slightly

bitterandtwisted if the peanut butter goes runny when heated i would give it a go but mix the melted ingredients in quickly
