Homemade hobnobs?

I believe twinks are something specific, though this is second or third hand information so I am not quite sure of details!

I made these today with my 2yr old. Was amazed that I got 60 biscuits out of the mixture. Wow! We love em thanks x

Oh and just for another giggle. My son loves cats and calls them "!!!!! cats" when Grandad was on the laptop he asked him to show him some pictures. So Grandad Googles !!!!! cats!!! Was funny.

I bought some golden syrup the other day so I could try making Twinks for the first time, only to find out I've got no oats Keep forgetting to buy them too

Just made some for the first time and they are lovely.

Will have to force myself to share them with family and work friends or will be huge!

I've made several batches of Twink's HobNobs now but don't have any Golden Syrup in my store-cupboard so have replaced it with honey and VERY good they are too. I've distributed them amongst friends and they now think I am a culinary genius thanks to Twink.

I was over at a pal's house the other day but she didn't have any oats in so we made the recipe from Jordan's muesli and they came out fab, too.

I've been making these biscuits from here for a couple of years. I make them for the staffroom, for the tuck shop week, for meetings in my house, for whole day rehearsals and for when I'm on coffee at Church. I never make less than a double quantity and get about 80 in total which leaves us a nice boxful to have in the house.

The church ladies wanted the recipe. . . I just told them to google twinks hobnobs. Hope they remembered the hobnobs.

Just wanted to say, I have heard about "twinks" or "twinks hobnobs" and thought, I must get around to making some, just to see what the fuss is about, and tho it has taken me 2 months to get around to it we had a dead night so I thought - ok, lets try twinks....

If anyone has read the thread and thought, I must try those at some point, trust me - TRY THEM NOW!
Now is the point, they take so little time, are SO gorgeous, (trust the reviews, I thought people might just be being nice! but they are just stunning and so simple and easy! No really, no one lied, they are SO simple and SO yummy!)
However! I made only 28 (before reading further and seeing people make between 30 and 50! Would love twink to post on how many she gets for a better gauge!) and they took 30 mins not 15 purely as I had made them to big. Next time I know that small ball means about the size of one of those rubber bouncy ball things so that when you press them with a fork they go thinner not golf ball size! (logic dictates I should have thought of it sooner, then it would have made sense about the pressing with a fork thing! - sorry twink my bad :S)
They came out of the oven at 19.45, and all 28 were gone by hmm... 20.05... after 15 mins of cooling, followed by staff "trials" (4 on at the time inc me!) and then customer "trials" lol!
They are awesome, and if they last longer next time, I will melt some choc to top some of them (like that will happen!)
The word "twink" is now famous here, they are now simply "twinks" not hobnobs - hobnobs pale in comparison!
Plan to make some frozen whisky creams and serve them with twinks on the dessert menu, already have loads of takers, just for the twinks! have posted thanks to twink but wanted it to be more public, and also all those people who read the post and just thought - like me "yeah will get around to it! to actually do it!
