I made these using beef dripping instead of butter/marg and they worked perfectly!
It was an experiment but with beef dripping being 59p for 250g, it's my new find!"Finish each day And be done with it.
You have done what you could.
Some blunders and Absurdities have crept in.
Forget them as soon as you can."

when I made my last lot of hobnobs at the weekend, I formed small balls of the mix in my hands then put them on the baking sheet and pressed them down. They ended up as nice neat round biscuits. Normally when I just use a tsp of mix and 'blob' down and press with fork, they come out a bit 'rustic' looking. Got 42 out of half the mix.
If we're going to start savoury ones with dripping etc, do you think, bacon fat and cheese would work (without the sugar and syrup in the mix)0 -

blimey i have no idea sandy2 but what a thought, breakfast in a biscuit, oats, bacon and cheese lol
good idea to get neat biscuits though without the bother of rolling them out0 -
The beef dripping didn't add a savoury taste at all"Finish each day And be done with it.

glad you like them and lots of variations to try out too, the recipe actually says the mix does 60 biscuits but they must be tiny
lol what do you call tiny though? recently I've been using a half tablespoon measure (from a plastic set of measuring spoons)for my twinks and I get 38-40 from a half batch mix. Out of curiosity I measured the diameter of one of them and it was 3 inches across0 -
