Hello,
I nagged OH to get me some celery in order to add to a soup last week as I'd read a recipe saying that it needed some, but i didn't check the quantity needed... and so i told him to get a big bunch of celery... and now it's sat in the fridge looking flappy and making me feel guilty every time i see it as i'm so tempted to chuck it on the compost pile and be done with it. There's about 6 stalks left, any ideas???
Thanks!

Celery (with carrot and onion too) can go into lots of savoury meals. e.g. mixed with mince, in stews and soups. Or you can have it braised, a delia recipe below, but a classic and many other recipes for braised celery. Its one of my favourite vegetables.

Haha, sorry people my last comment was meant for another post on this forum, serves me right for having to pages open.
Btw, Celery is boring, anyone else agree?0 -
Celery soup is ideal for using up even rather ancient and floppy celery - with an onion it doesn't even really taste much of actual celery! (But is still yummy).0
