  • I am quite disgusted by EPL & SKY. I did not know if I have to cancel the plan, because I am watching just news and sport. The censorship decided.

I bought better VPN for torrents and I will use the crappy firstrow or the new alternative firstrowsports.co and I will end with carpal tunnel bacause of the closing ads and almost invisible X's.

What is a lionel messi of fanatics?
Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.

  • One thing to bear in mind also is that if you're a keen fan and want to watch Champions League games on Sky Sports, companies such as BT or Virgin Media either do not offer Sky Sports 3 & 4, which has already been mentioned in the guide, and they also offer no interactive / red button services to allow you to select any match from 6 or 8 that are taking place that evening. For me, this is important so Sky is the only option.

Also, a lot of Spanish football is on Sky Sports 4 so you need to consider this when choosing provider.
  • I save a fortune by using Sky Go on my Xbox using my parents Sky account. If they have a BT sport subscription will I be able to watch these channels on my Xbox?

If not, I will just continue to use the selection of unsaid streaming services available through XBMC.

Just so people know, BT are advertising that their BT Sport is free with a broadband package.

However, this is only for the first twelve months. You have to pay after that but they won't say how much.

Here is the transcript of my online chat on BT's website.

    info:
We are now routing you to one of our chat team...
info: Welcome to BT, the most complete broadband provider. You are now connected with Lara
    Lara: good evening Wargs
Lara: How may I assist you with your order today?
Wargs: Hi Lara. Could you tell me how long you get BT sport for free with a broadband package? I've heard it's only for 12 months.
    Lara: It's correct 12 months
Wargs: Then how much will it be after that, £12 or is it going up?
Lara: We haven't told yet. Sorry
    Wargs: Ok Thanks
    Lara: you're very welcome
Lara: Thank you for chatting with me today, BT Values your feedback.
  • Section 5 titled "What is BT Sport, and is it really free?" says:

What's more, if you don't already have one, you'll need a BT compatiable box to watch BT Sport (these cost between £49-£299).

Aside from the typo in 'compatible', I don't believe that's an accurate statement is it? I believe you need a BT box if you want to watch BT Sport on your TV, but that you can watch the channel just fine on a PC (etc.) and thus without any additional cost.

    Or am I wrong?

Incorrect. They have already stated that in year 2, users will only have to pay for HD, at £3 per month. Its year 3 they haven't announced. Which they wouldn't, obviously.
  • So if you have BT broadband and Sky TV, do you just phone BT and ask them to 'turn it on'? Do they need your Sky account number? Or do you need to contact both BT and Sky?

I suspect if you said you were going to cancel your broadband at the end of year one they'd waive the HD fee further to make you stay.

Interesting to see how long BT keep the channel "free".
