No, not job search time. The hours you agree to work when looking for jobs, e.g. Mon-Fri between 8am and 6pm. And that has, by law, to be 40 hours unless there is good reason for it to be less, e.g. child care commitments. Therefore most people will get 30 hour MWA but if you have agreed, say, to be available for only 20 hours then your MWA would be no more than 15 hours (75% of 20).
Working and looking for a job are two separate things and I know people working who are trying to look for a new job but don't have the time.

I have agreed to 30 hours job search so they are going to have to change that then to 10 hour or so and amend the JSA? You cant apply and look for as many as they want you to in such a short time plus spec letters and the like.

Also on this link http://refuted.org.uk/2013/10/24/workfarecompetition/ it says not all will do the MWA

i cant see them varying the hours for different people you cant have some people going home at 3 while others stay til 4 for example. i suspect it will be very much the same a what new deal was like, 4 days on placement and one day in a centre jobsearching. if it means i am free from signing on and from seeing an adviser i will be happy so long as the placement is ok and we are allowed holidays.

i suspect people will be on this monday to friday. therefore no time to sign on. so if people dont sign on while on it they wont get asked for their evidence. so it doesnt matter what the jsa agreement says. you can do as much or as little as you like.

i wouldnt say that, more that they are clueless. theres nothing to gain from policing peoples jobsearching anyway, it can easily be faked.

No not the job searching the lack of and lack of time to do so if you are going to have to work 30 hours and or maybe not see an advisor who will check jobs

Reducing a 30 hour search to a 10 one is a big drop of time spent looking for a real job

there arent enough jobs around here to warrant 30+ hours jobsearching.

if you are sat in front of someone who expects it then you wouldnt say that. if you show negativity of any sort you are inviting them to give you a hard time. so you bull***t and make out everything is wonderful.

I show none hence probably why I get a good time at the JC but I don't make out everything is wonderful either.

I ask them stuff they cant answer so its best for them to do what they do with me.
