What someone else is doing is no concern of mine at all.

why do you have a need to prove points to these people. all you need to do is prevent yourself from getting into trouble. anything more is not necessary. you need to be careful because having too much of an urge to prove points can rub them up the wrong way at times and result in them giving you a harder time than they would have.

Why have them tell me I am wrong? Sit there and say 'oh can you not add a cover to Totaljobs'? All I am saying is the UJM is the ONLY job search site where you can not add a cover letter yet the jc want you to be able to write one!

I am not in trouble and never have been. You are missing the point totally.

Cover letters are just as important as a CV

The Jobcentre & DWP are stupid, full of stupid people looking after themselves & their jobs, going through the motions, following nasty Tory agenda to make things difficult for unemployed & those on benefits.

They don't listen to jobseekers, that's why nothing gets changed.

They'll change things when it suits them.

I wasn't looking to get things changed just pointing out to her she had no idea what she was on about and then she laughed when she said others had said you cant add a cover letter.

I know of no company who would think just sending a CV was ok

i have come to the conclusion that unless what you are subjected to is intolerable its best to keep quiet. this is because if people complain something doesnt work they do end up making changes that ultimately are just as bad or worse. alot of people over the years have complained about lack of training and now guess what, on this after wp thing they are sending people on all sorts of daft schemes. also people often have said signing is a waste of time as they dont do nothing with you. so now they hassle people. you start to realise that you were better off on the wp just showing your jobs log once a fortnight.

No the WP never looked a job log once every two weeks. They may have for you but not for me. I sent a full listing every week to them on email.

Plus I was not complaining I was stating a fact to her. Sorry if people can't see that here.

i wasnt saying you were complaining. my post was just a general observation. if a scheme is rubbish but tolerable it is probably better to tolerate it than kick up a fuss so that they change it because the change has a good chance of being worse and virtually no chance of being better.
