Have a follow up tomorrow with the advisor so I can tell her how pointless this was!
Oh yes and the woman from the job centre in the meeting said and I quote 'these courses are available to all of you's'
I think she meant 'you' but not too sure as she used the word 'you's more than once!
Maybe she needs level 1 and 2 :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
I had to have a group session with Learn Direct last week where they spoke to us ALL like were morons saying we all had to have Level 1 and 2 Maths and English like we all had no qualifications. Well maybe the others don't but have O Level grade A in both.

If you don't have level 2 or equivalent in English/Maths then it's not the worst thing in the world to study. If you have the equivalents then it really is a waste of time.0

donnajunkie wrote: »personally i am probably shaky on some of the maths equivalent to level 2 simply because i havent used it since school. also to suggest like she did that i cant get a job without it and that it was the answer to my problems is ridiculous. they basically just want to humiliate people thats the purpose of forcing people onto pointless courses. however i did enjoy maths at school and can probably tolerate doing a course if it means i get perks like seeing my adviser less often. i dont want it to clash with my voluntary work either.
I am serious when I say that they said you wont get a job without. As is no one in the meeting had never had a job before oh yes and me with my O levels! LOLWe’ve had to remove your signature. these courses are just to make them money so I take it with a pinch of salt, I was offered english but I didn't do the courses as they seemed very pointless0
