  • They are also going to go after people with part time work who may not have time or a desire to increase hours so you can't help but think they are going to make things worse for them, they may be forced to attend tge WP and jobcentre appointments and stuff

The irony, of course, is that 40% of Jobcentre staff are part time and so will have to suffer the indignity of being interrogated about their personal life every two weeks by their own colleagues...hahaha! :j

    Love it.

    It would be brilliant.

But I doubt it will ever happen.

That's one thing that will be severely watered-down, benefit conditionality checking of part-time workers.

The further irony is those job centre workers will never get an inflation matching pay rise and in effect become poorer in real terms with each passing year. As you observed, those part-timers will be hit with conditionality requirements (if UC is implemented as IDS hopes) and those of them and their colleagues who collect benefits will see them eroded too. So some of the state's most dedicated hatchet men and women will be amongst the greatest losers.

But the knife to their backs will be plunged deepest when their pensions are expropriated under the guise of "needs must" and "the nation's skint."

The brighter JCP staff should be scouring employment sites more than JSA claimants are made to because their standard of living is headed one way.

if you do as you are told they wont sanction you. I say good for sanctioning and the more the merrier. Got to bring down the welfare bill.
Same as those who say shouldnt increase parking charges, I say if you dont break the rules then you wouldnt get a PCN.
your employer needs to get his costs down. so he should cut your wages.

people are not expected to at the moment but unless they are winding it down i cant see them never refering people back again at some point.

They would never do that as I am too valuable to the company and would leave if they tried that
