Just getting back on topic (I hope no-one minds :D ), I have just been reading the PWP is a 6 month duration - is that still correct and what happens after that?

Strictly speaking it is six months, but at present claimants will stay on it until the Help to Work scheme (as described by Kev) starts in April. H2W may or may not be run by the same people as the WP, contracts have been awarded under a separate tendering process.

From what I understand it will be some sort of community placement supervised by the same companies that have made the work programme such a resounding success (sarcasm).

From what i heard the government have not got enough companies to provide the placements.

Not for the purposes of jsa the point is not the matter of how many jobs its that the person has not been job seeking over the entire period. which is what ive said over and over again but you don't seem to grasp.
no i do get it. what i get and you dont is its unfair.

You mean like all the digs you throw at me, you like to give but not receive. And technically yes we can cherry pick how often we see a customer. your most likely on a bau caseload meaning either you refuse help...so why waste there time or your just simply unemployable...there may even be a slight chance your advisor feels you doing all thats necessary but from your behavior on here I doubt it

the digs you get are because you appear on occasion to be trying to provoke a reaction and you do make unkind comments to people who have been nothing but reasonable towards you. i'm glad you acknowledge that its possible for a claimant to not be a waster even if it was only in a small way.

I give out cold heard facts, just because you disagree with the process and the info you are given does not make the info wrong
some things i disagree with but thats not what i was talking about. i am talking about things you claim to be fact that have not been the case in my experience.

Which again is what I had originally said but you tried to make out I was wrong...and I suggest you read both side front and back!!!
no what you also said is if you find a job that a persons hasnt applied for you can sanction them.
read front and back what happened to it being at the front?

Are we talking a 'personal' advisor or just one signing you?

I ask because it's just occured to me I've yet to see a personal advisor since I started signing again (2 'n arf months ago).
as you have disagreed with csmw before they probably think you fall into one of the negative categories they mentioned and that is why you havent seen them.

It's officially 26 weeks afaik, unless different areas are doing different things

I finished MIR (Mandatory Intervention Regime) last week.

No warning from my advisor before, he just said your 26 weeks are up on sign-on, which was a surprise.

As after I finished MWA (Manadatory Work Activity) about 3 months ago, he said I will only sign with him until I get a job at same time as my advisor appointments with him. Before that I was occasionally signing with normal sign-on team, separate from advisor appointments.

On PWP, did 2 week Employability course, did 2 out 4 weeks on MWA, then did 3 months ECDL computer course off my own back, while advisor had wanted me to do Work Experience.

I now will sign with someone else or normal sign-on team, not certain yet.

You are paid daily in 2 individual benefit weeks, so what you're effectively saying is . It's ok to only fulfill half your contact and then do nothing the rest of the time.

That's terrible, I have over 100 on my caseload plus I deliver the group sessions. yet I still see my BAU fortnightly and my MIR weekly
i know someone who has the same adviser as me. they havent seen them since the very first appointment in july. i saw them 3 times between july and october. i then didnt see them until just before xmas and that was only because a group session was full. i havent heard from them since. i dont care what they think of me so long as i dont suffer negatively as a result. if having a bad opinion of me gets me out of seeing them then i am happy with that. you will no doubt interpret that negatively but really why would anyone want to have to see someone who serves no useful purpose and sends them on stupid courses like one that teachs you how to use something you already know how to use.
