Pwps has just been extended to 52 weeks. But daily signing etc will kick in at 6 months
Its 6 months for me and a week I think. Like I said before I cant see daily signing happening as not enough people to do that.

From what i heard the government have not got enough companies to provide the placements.
It will be chaos, I think the contracts went out few months ago.

Like my 2 out of 4 weeks MWA placement, they were having difficulty finding placements as big charities have been scared off.

Finding 6 months work for all the people is going to be impossible.

They'll end up warehousing people somehwere while they twiddle their thumbs & drink tea.

Hardly useful or helpful in finding a job.

csmw: I'm due to finish WP in May but I'm expecting a phone call in April for another seasons casual work (So I was told by last boss), probably 6 months, could be more depending on the weather.
Where would that leave me? Would I still go onto PWPS even though I may have finished WP 6 months earlier and been working since then (It could be 8 or 9 months if we get another good summer)?

Hmm good question, I believe the linking period is 26 weeks so you would start from the beginning as a brand new claim again. But as I'm not 100% sure. I will check tomorrow and come back to you if that's ok?

  • no of course some are correct.
Ah the regular diversionary tactic, keep on nit picking and ignoring the core points.

    Some being 95%.

And yet still the mindset that someone else should take responsibility.

Only a 3rd of the register will daily sign.. they may use the personal advisors to do some of it.

I think you're office may bring in some extra resources as from the meeting I had last week it's definitely going ahead

    When did that happen ?

Do you know why, as it overlaps with Community Work Placement scheme due in April.

Are they having problems with this ?

You are paid daily in 2 individual benefit weeks, so what you're effectively saying is . It's ok to only fulfill half your contact and then do nothing the rest of the time.
you have to do so much per week. if one person has done more than another it is silly to sanction the person that did the most that week. you have been following the rules too long and have become brainwashed by them. now if a person applied for 1 job each day monday to wednesday and then did nothing then i would agree that is wrong.
