Anything that the customer is capable of doing, so for yourself yes an advisor could mandate you to a retail job, if you had the required skills or it said no experience necessary etc. If it fitted within your working pattern and was above 16hrs (I think) for a restricted jsag and 24 for a full time one.
Thank you, so they have to stick to the hours but not the jobs? I asked as I was mandated to apply for a job that was outside my restricted hours. It wasn't a problem as I had applied anyway as I do apply for jobs that are outside my hours (to be honest if I stuck to them there wouldn't be any to apply for!). Were they wrong in sending me that job then?0 -

They should really be sticking reasonably within your guideline but, i. you say you can only work 10am till 2pm if they found a job that was say 9.30 till 2.30 you could be matched to it yes. but they couldn't match you to a 9 till 5.0 -
Yes, mine still has 3 jobs listed with the code numbers (they can't fit any more in the box) but it doesn't mean anything any more.
That does make sense and i have been applying for others outside my stated jobs anyway but what annoys me is no one actually tells you they no longer apply, that seems to me to be a way of catching someone for a sanction as they didn't know what they were suppose to be doing.
If that part is now irrevalavnt I am now worried that my hours will become irrevalavnt and I will not be informed of that fact!0 -

So what is the point of stating hours? In that case the hours should be stated as 9.30 - 2.30 so it is clear and everyone knows where they stand. I appreciate you don't make the rules and thanks for the reply0 -

that says it all...so what is th epoint of asking for the times the claimant can work if youa re not going to stick to that?
her kids might get out at 2.30, hence the 2.00 they gave as a finish time.
This is what !!!!es people off.
The same with the agreements, I have 3 types of jobs I down on my agreement and have to apply for 6 a week, yet every claimant has to apply for any job they can do, why lead the claimants down a path, thinking they have to do such and such to be within the rules but then hit them we "agreement what agreement, you apply for every god dam job on the site or get a sanction" :mad:0 -

They should be telling people, but I'm sure it says something along those lines on the front or back of the jsag.
It says it on the new claimaint commitment.
If your a lone parent the hours will only become irrelevant when your youngest child reaches 13, then you will be required to look for full time work0 -

I suggest you read the legislation surrouding JSA and whilst your there your JSAG too front and back!0 -

You say they become irrelevant after the youngest is 13 so the implication is they are relevant before 13 so why send someone a matched vacancy for a job outside those hours?0
