They should be telling people, but I'm sure it says something along those lines on the front or back of the jsag.
It says it on the new claimaint commitment.
If your a lone parent the hours will only become irrelevant when your youngest child reaches 13, then you will be required to look for full time work
No it doesn't mention anything about the times but to be fair it does say about applying for all jobs you are capable of so that covers the fact you shouldn't just be apply for the three types of job stated.
I have never seen a new claimant commitment. If it is something we are suppose to be following why were 'old' claimants not given a copy? Do you have a link to this please? I think it would be helpful to read it.0 -
If you are on an old style jobseekers agreement, then you just follow the agreement. Claimant Commitments aren't relevant to you. At least until they're imposed on you by fiat.“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

I suggest you read the legislation surrouding JSA and whilst your there your JSAG too front and back!
why, I know what it says, as the post you just quoted shows, the point I'm making is, why give someone an agreement that is overrules by the general JSA conditions?
My agreement has been renewed a few times now and it's the same as day one.
Why not just do anyway with the confusion and tell all claimants they have to apply for every job on the direct gov site, will save 10 minutes writing these daft agreements out, which mean nothing as you have shown.0 -

Claimant commitments are being rolled out, they will eventually replace the jsags

Well, not everyone, hey sensi?
Sure but only triggered by belligerent, negative, apathetic, evasive claimants who either can't be arsed to find work, can't be arsed to evidence they're looking, play the system or combination of all**.
But not everyone wants to admit it's only those types of claimant that seem to have these issues eh stix?0 -
Read the 1st line in my post.
My point is if you really just want to work, why spend valuable time wasting it in just trying to be difficult with the advisor over access. I really don't see what the big deal.
You seem to think giving access makes it easier to impose a sanction, or the only reason an advisor needs access is to sanction. Which it just nonsense.0 -

that might be true if all JSA claimants were long term unemplyed, that fact is, most claimants are only on JSA for a matter of a few months, then find work.
Treating all clainmants as if they are work shy is a tactic of this tory government.0 -
Up to now your argument is "why be difficult" you have not given one good reason to allow access, you tried to say allowing access shows you want to work? not sure how that works.
If access is so important and really helps a claimant get work then why has the government not made it a condition?
I totally wanted to work and have got a job starting soon, yet I got told to apply for a self employed vacany that wasn't even a job but a agent ad, and also a job on zero hours contract, both I believe I do not have to accecpt? JSA staff do not have the time to help anyone get a job, they have 5 min slots, which is enough time to get you to sign on and make sure you are following the rules, all their time is used for that, not helping but looking for reasons to sanction you.
Yes a lot/some people need a kick up the backside but the advisers forget the rules are meant to be used to target those types of people, not everyone, yet people like me who try their best to follow the rules end up nervous wrecks.0 -

no deffo a correlation...stick up for your rights and they don't like it, they then hit you with a sanction.0 -
