They can email you too, can't they?

    ...

Just checked on UJM. The 2 boxes you need to leave unticked (profile page) are...

'I authorise DWP to view my account, including job search activity, feedback and notes'
    and
'I would like to receive DWP email messages'

Both of mine are unticked - it's quiet on the frontline ;)

I doubt anyone has a problem with them having access if it was ONLY to look at recorded job seeking activities.
The reason I won't allow access is because an advisor can message you about a job or recommend you apply for one (through UJM) and if you don't act on that you will be sanctioned.

If it wasn't for that one and only reason I would have no problems whatsoever allowing access.

But we can do that with any website, paper, job we see in a shop window.

A matched vacancy doesn't have to be via ujm.

the poster seemed to be assuming not allowing access consumes great amounts of time.

The only time it does consume is the time they waste trying to talk you into using it!

No, but you can send details of it through UJM :wall:

Keep up with the context ;)

But that's irrelevant really. It doesn't matter how the details are issued we can do it via phone or written.

Even if I don't have viewing permission I can still match to a vacancy on there and the customers would still need to provide proof of application

I'm curious, would this be proof they have already applied or, if not, are you recommending they apply and want proof for next sign on?

I wouldn't match to a vacancy a customer said they had already applied to, it would be a new one and want proof

that you think it reasonable that someone has to apply for a job in a shop window that only you have seen, as they are hardly going to agree to have seen it, if they have not applied for it, so what proof are you going to use, to show they saw it and so should have applied for it? google maps? are we tagged now and don't know it
