If people can't recognise their negative mindset it'll continue to be a barrier to finding work and foster other barriers.

If just one of the nay sayers takes that on board and changes their approach that's a step in the right direction. If highlighting that touches a nerve then guilty as charged, tough love an all that. Ooops there goes the hidden agenda.
like i think has been said the negativity comes from the negative experiences people have. people dont just decide to be that way.

Jobseeking is depressing, but blaming others for your negative mindset is just validating all the poster is saying. Why would someone be spending so long to give you advice? Atleast you have finally admitted you're negative.

no just blaming others for their faults. if those faults have an impact on a person then its fair to blame them for that negative impact. your logic is just like kicking someone in the face and then blaming them for going ouch.

Then send a letter by normal post, and if that doesn't have effect, go to your MP.

There is an established complaints procedure, and government departments are supposed to be abiding by it.

As I said, the CAB can help with all this.

    Lin :)

    This is good advice.

I was chatting to someone the other day, who had a difficult benefit problem, bringing it up with her MP seemed to work wonders in sorting out the mess.

And the MP in question is a Tory and friend of Mr Cameron.

To promote your advisor bashing agenda. Which is pretty pointless if you can't back it up with facts as it looks just like the bitter prejudice it is.

I complained about my advisors incompetence to the manager but he keeps it in house and covers for him.

My district manager does not reply to emails.
So you're not only claiming advisors do their best to make life so bad you sign off and have special advisors who are picked for their hardness and nastiness but theirs a conspiracy with management and senior managers.

Could it be they've all spotted an under performing claimant with bad attitude perchance.
  • not assuming or generic but based on actual experiences.
That's your perception. Are they doing their job? Have they asked for something inappropriate? If so as Lin has said there's a complaints procedure.

Negative mindset comes from not recognising the underlying reason for failure and will remain a negative mindset whilst blaming the wrong things like govt WP etc for their failings.

People can choose to do something about their negative mindset though but they have to be true to themselves and admit the true problem first. They don't because it's much easier to blame everything else.

Keep telling yourself that's the right approach and you'll no doubt have been and will remain in the same unemployed position for years.

People should use them, as all of these workers are public servants, and all have a contractual duty to treat members of the public in a certain way. That is not to say that, sometimes, sanctions shouldn't be used, but it all needs to be transparent and fair.

But, some claimants also need to realise that they also have an obligation to be courteous and polite to those dealing with their unemployment.

You can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset. ;)
