Does that include personal experiences of those sat on the other side of the interview desk? The ones who can offer support in finding work? Or is it restricted to like minded negative mindsets?
i havent seen much of that. genuine worthwhile advice would i am sure be welcomed by people. however i see more of people slagged off just because they dare to not like something and the usual anti unemployed type language.

What's posted on here is real negativity IMO, probably from being out of work or in some cases from wanting to remain out of work. Some, as you say have worked for a long time and found themselves out of work. Others have been out of work for years and are finding it more difficult to merely turn up and collect every 2 weeks. It's a tough world and IMO faux utopia helps no one.
the experience of being unemployed and dealing with the likes of the jobcentre and training providers is very negative.

great fun on my stupid course today. no not really it was so tedious and frustrating. endless amounts of pointless paperwork that has tons of repetition. you are expected to put answers in boxes and you either have no idea what to put or are not sure how they want it worded. the tutor today kept disappearing so it was hard to get help. for the last 20 minutes they disappeared altogether. i did the best i can but i bet i end up having to do some of it again. they also keep lying to us. earlier in the week they said you will be in thursday and friday and then it will just be 30 minute appointments. today we got told we are now going to be in next monday and tuesday as well.

    Lack of jobs perhaps.
If that we're the underlying problem for these long term unemployed, how do you explain others coming along and getting jobs in the the same market?

I would guess that 90% of that is because an employer would rather employ someone who is either currently working or only just out of a job rather than the long term unemployed person.

As an employer if you had candidates that were the same on paper but couldn't interview them all, which ones would you choice to interview? would it be the ones currently working or the long term unemployed ones?

I am not saying it is impossible for the long term unemployed to find work but it certainly gets harder the longer you are unemployed.

    These are YOUR very words:

So again, I put it to you as an example that someone who cannot drive should apply for a job as a courier driver? Someone who has never used Photoshop should apply for a job in the graphics industry?

Yes, a jobseeker should widen his or her scope of vacancies be all means. However, one also has to be realistic. You are deliberately confusing jobs that some people may look down on with those others cannot realistically do.

You also are making many posts here without having knowledge of what you are saying. This is clearly evident considering what you believe the WP to actually be.
You didn't include the context in that quote; here it is.

12 months unsuccessful job search is a poor return for a serious dedicated jobseeker. By then they should have considered widening their search and any and every job.** If they're unable to find work after all that it suggests fundamental underlying problem.

** including any job they could possibly do or have transferable skills to do no matter how menial the job is or what their perception of the job may be.

Now your backtracking as I suspected you would. If you really meant this, then why not say so in the beginning?? Surely it's not THAT hard?

Perhaps you should stop, step back, think and consider what you wish to contribute before putting finger to keyboard in future.

When did you last take your own advice ?

Start your own advice thread, start your own group, put it into action.

You can show Jobcentres & Work Programme private companies how it is done to get people into sustainable work.

You obviously think you know better than everybody and have regularly dismissed first hand comments of things you have no experience of whatsoever as negativity.

Your advice is generalised, lazy, stereotyped and generally useless.
I've already posted my experience of job seeking, 4 offers in 2 months.

Perhaps you'd explain what you do and how are you're qualified to know better? Only, as yet, you've not managed to contribute in that way.
