I have failed in that online application for one of the home delivery drivers. It's just a generic application, I do remember when if you knew someone who worked for asda you were guaranteed an interview and job at the end of it.
Id love to see the morons they are going to take on there when its open. We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

They don't want a teenager to be handling petty cash, wages and invoices I am sure. We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

One job was only this:

Make sure Purchase Ledger controls are maintained
Make sure transactions are processed in line with company accounting standards
Manage all the daily petty cash, files and processes
Process all payroll information accurately
Support the team with weekly and monthly reporting and variance analysis
Help to provide financial and statistical information to colleagues in all teams
Keep general administration up to date so that our department is always clean, tidy and working efficientlyWe’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Well since I started this thread and its been taken off topic I was talking about working in a shop actually and why people cant get jobs in them. See post 175

donnajunkie wrote: »the point being talked about was work experience in shops/getting a job in a shop. this is true but it was about the low skilled jobs that are most common in shops. it was not about the rare skilled jobs like the one you are talking about to do with you. both should be judged differently.
The point was that it was so easy NOT, to get a job in a shop!
There are a lot of skilled people who cant get interviews for these low skilled jobs you talk of.We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

donnajunkie wrote: »i agree its not easy to get a job anywhere. if people ridicule the requirements made of people to get a low skilled job then to say what do you expect i couldnt get a skilled job is not quite the right way of looking at it because skilled jobs and low skilled jobs are two seperate things really. people are saying it shouldnt be so hard to get one of the low skilled jobs. they arent applying that logic to the skilled jobs at a supermarket and neither should anyone else. We’ve had to remove your signature.
