Without doubt Employers will pick up on negativity and move on to the next applicant so many with their mindset on here are doomed before they start.0

Valid point. Apart from the gap in employment my CV content is not limited. However it does contain lots of cliches which to be honest I don't like. I didn't write it my original didn't contain these it was done by a 'specialist' for me via the job centre. When he handed it to me I did actually point out all the cliches but was told thats what employers look for. I re-wrote it and took out some but left others as I believed what I was told and as this was some help I did receive I didn't want to change it all. I will now re-visit it again and maybe take them all out, its certainly something to think about, thanks0 -
Employers mainly turn me down as they deem the job too junior for me yet they advertise their jobs and make them something they are not.
This is not a job for a junior as far as I can see but that's the feedback I have got

its the economy not the individuals fault. The gvt should make and create more jobs and minimum wage should be increased.0

The jobcentre does nothing to help you find work its all about cutting your money. I disagree with the term advisor.
cutting benefits is not the answer creating more jobs is.
Some people just don't want to take responsibility for their situation, instead choosing to blame economy, systems, govt etc for failing to get a job at the same time others around them manage to get jobs. In these instances where a claimants sense of entitlement is just unrealistic, advisors efforts are met with resistance, negativity and excuses why they can't do what is asked, sanctions are entirely appropriate.0 -

Do you work in accounts?
I have 20 years experience in purchase ledger and my roles were never junior. All were sole responsibility or the senior team leader. We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

So how about thinking of a a solution to each and every barrier that is
your problem, preventing you from getting a job instead of moaning and blaming systems etc? That might see you move forward.
Those who are negative and can't be arsed..expect the same and sanctions from those trying to help. After all why should they care about an individual who doesn't care and has no respect for themselves?0 -

i havent said i can do better. my view is they wont make any improvement. they wont make the difference that is probably needed. they may improve my cv but that will take 10 minutes.
so i dont write everything as it technically is meant to be. for example i dont put capitals at the beginning of sentences here. so what. my spelling isnt perfect but its adequate for my needs. there are no mistakes on my cv. these tests that people do are extremely basic. for example a question on them could be, i blank to the shops. fill in the blank from the following, went, whent, wnet, wennt. even if you think these tests are justified it is certainly not justified to make people keep doing them over and over again.0 -

That may be true, but then you have to ask yourself why you're having to go on them and they don't.
That involves exploring the fundamental reasons why you're not finding work and considering that before anything will change you most likely need to change one or several things.
Of course many people will avoid hearing unpleasant truths because it's not what they want to hear and the status quo will remain.0 -
