64 jobs they wanted them to apply for.
If they had been told to apply and didn't yes I can see how that's an issue but not if they never knew about the jobs.

Nobody should be asking you to apply for 64 a week thats excessive.

So how do you know that you have applied for enough jobs to avoid a sanction then? what figure is enough?
indeed and this is an obvious point to be made by the person you have there to help you. thats if you have someone. it can be anyone but usually cab, union rep etc.

If you sent your jsag to a dm disputing it on that...you would win.

There is nowhere in legislation that allows us to specify amount of jobs to apply for
so if a person fulfills what their jsa agreement says they can actually get away with not applying for any jobs at all?

As I said a figure makes no relevance. For example if your jsag said must apply for 4 vacancies a week. Yet there were 50 that were suitable and you could have reasonably applied for them...if that was sent to a dm you are highly likely to receive a sanction.

But hey what do I know.
where does it say on the agreement that you must apply for every job you see that you can do? how do they prove that you saw them?

So as I said if chat applies for 3 jobs but there were 50 suitable they could have applied for it most likely go in favor of the jobcentre.

Hopefully makes sense as typing on my phone
so will they make available the details of all of these jobs to the claimant? will they show proof that the claimant saw them in the first place?
each day there are tons of catalogue distributor jobs advertised. do you think every claimant applies for every single one of them? i dont. so why dont they just sanction every claimant? expecting a person to apply for every single advertised job they could do is not reasonable and a fair appeal panel would surely agree.

I really do doubt that the JC will suddenly produce 50 job adverts as proof against the ones the person has applied for.

Would take them a fair while to gather 60 jobs adverts in a 14 day period when they barely have the time to sign people.
more to the point during the 2 minutes you are sat in front of the jc adviser they cant be aware of all the jobs that you could have applied for. therfore they cant in that moment make a judgement that you havent applied for enough.

No offense but you can believe what you like. I'm a linked advisor which mean I do the majority of the dma activities in my office.

I was trying to help but if you think you as a claimant know better then go ahead.

It would take me about 30 mins to collate that many adverts and have done. But remember I was only using those figures as an example a dm would most likely be happy with 10-15 more than the customer had applied for. Its about showing the cm that there was more the customer could have done and if it's reasonable.

And the advisors and people who sign people on are 2 completely different jobs.
what you are doing is just telling us what we already know. the jobcentre is unscrupulous and corrupt.

No you sign for each 2 week period which is stand alone. However in certain circumstances ie. You're signing was advanced Christmas bank holidays etc they can ask for job search since you last signed.

I have know a customer refferd for saying they were on a course then not attended and the jobsearch was taken back 8 weeks.
but does this ever happen? i have never been asked for evidence for an excused fortnight. is this something sneaky that they are going to start doing to purposely catch people out?

Probably don't want to see you often as if your behavior on here is anything to go by I feel sorry for your advisor.

By the sounds of it you go out you way to be difficult. Therefore why would anyone want to deal with that when they can just sign you and let you go.

There are actually people who want and need our help..our time is better focused on them not on people who just want to get a rise out of us.

And no I don't know you...and nor do you know me so don't pressume you know how I or any other advisor acts.
no offence but the jobcentre is not helpful at all. neither are the outside providers you send people to.
