donnajunkie wrote: »did you not say if someone was sanctioned for not applying for 50 jobs that the decision would find against the claimant. you have also mentioned things like when people get excused that they could get asked for evidence for that fortnight when they next sign. it does not say anything about this on the leaflet about being excused. they never tell anyone this could happen.
the above are just 2 reasons why people see the jobcentre as unscrupulous and corrupt. it is also well known they have targets to sanction so many people per day.
no I did not say that at all..
and as I stated just because signing is excused doesn't mean you jsag is excused.
haha well know where exactly, that silly little email in the guardian that 5% target disappeared years ago when the unions stepped in. there are NO TARGETS!!!! if there were a lot more people would be getting sanctioned by naff advisors.0 -

Wrong, maybe in the jcp you go to but not in any I've ever worked in.
Your more than welcome to check guidance on this0 -
There were no flaws in what I said, you took what I said out of context as you presumed incorrectly that I am one of the bad advisors that go out my way to shaft people. I put the whole process on here so that the poster I was responding to is aware. and you and AP007 do what you all normally do and try to demonise and patronise someone because... oh dear they work for the jobcentre!!!0

donnajunkie wrote: »horror stories do seem to still appear every now and then. few people are fooled. the whole get tough thing that is now in place is obviously to sanction more people.
What it is there to do is get rid of the people who think that jsa is a lifestyle choice, those that think they are entitled to live off the state.
unfortunately genuine people get caught in the process, but the rules are simple yet people still think looking on one website and maybe applying for a job entitles them to hand out's.
JSA isn't a benefit, its an allowance you have a contract to fulfil if you don't your not entitled to payment simple.
The things that advisors have to put up with day in day out and people wonder why there are some angry little Hitler types out there lol0 -

i imagine a sanction as a result of this would be easy to beat.
you are excused from signing/declaring. that is what they tell you. that is what the leaflet says.0 -

The leaflet you talk about is individual to your jobcentre, we al have different versions of it. Your excused signing but not jobseeking.0 -
