A jsag shouldn't state how many jobs you should apply for, just the steps you should take. A decision maker would totally disregard it even if it was on your jsag
I have steps too which I can prove all the way. We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

There is nowhere in legislation that allows us to specify amount of jobs to apply for
Open to abuse I think by the JC staff so yeah make sure you have a figure in writing I sayWe’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
So if someone has no figure the JC could say 'oh sorry we are expecting 100 applications from you a week'!!

As I said a figure makes no relevance. For example if your jsag said must apply for 4 vacancies a week. Yet there were 50 that were suitable and you could have reasonably applied for them...if that was sent to a dm you are highly likely to receive a sanction.
But hey what do I know.0 -

But the same legislation is allowing advisors to refer to a decision maker because the job seeker has not applied for enough jobs! that doesn't make sense and seems rather unfair to the job seeker, if they can't be given a target to apply for, how can they be refer to a decision maker for not applying for enough?
(not getting at you personally, I don't expect you to be able to answer, I appreciate your input and time)

Please see my last answer. The referral form we fill out ask the following which are answered by the customer.( general just of the questions)
1. What's steps did you take and what dates
2. What jobs did you apply for dates how etc
3. Did anything stop you looking for work.
4. What steps dud you take in the previous 2 weeks
The advisor then fills in the following
Does customer have jsag or claimant commitment
Why do you feel customer has failed to give themselves best chance of finding employment. Ie steps not taken on jsag
What roles were available for customer to apply for. Ie 20 on in 40 on indeed etc
How many steps is customer required to take
How many did they take
So as I said if chat applies for 3 jobs but there were 50 suitable they could have applied for it most likely go in favor of the jobcentre.
Hopefully makes sense as typing on my phone0 -
Most likely as that's required when sending to a dm
Would take them a fair while to gather 60 jobs adverts in a 14 day period when they barely have the time to sign people. We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
