if there was something being arranged for me that would mean i couldnt get to the jobcentre on the day i would say to them can we make it another time as i have to sign that day. or i would say i will be late or i will have to leave early because i sign. i would do everything in my power to avoid signing a day late. This was in August and you would sign the next day if you couldn't get there.0 -
point out that you have fulfilled your jsa agreement and anything you send through the post send via recorded delivery. include photocopies of any proof you have like of your jsa agreement and the evidence you presented.Just to say my jobsearch has been sent to a decision maker, my advisor says i did not apply for enoigh jobs. I dont see anywhere where it says the amount you have to apply for. So now ive got to wait and see.0 -
yes you can. firstly you will get a letter saying theres a doubt on your claim with space at the back where you can respond. if that fails you can then fill out an appeal form. dont forget that if/when you get a letter saying you have been sanctioned to apply for hardship payments straight away.
He said more than i had put down its very confusing. Can i appeal if its not in my favour does anyone know.0 -
and ultimately its what the jsa agreement requires of you that matters and not so much a persons opinion. a person can refer you for sanction if they think you havent done enough but its your contract with them thats legal.iammumtoone wrote: »whilst it would be helpful to know the figure it is slightly irrelevant as all the advisor needed to do was pick a figure above what red devil had applied for! Red devil really needs to know where this figure is documented on their paperwork.
Just out of interest Red devil how many jobs did you apply for?0 -
you must aim to reach the figure required no matter what. for example if its 10 and you only find 8 and only do 8 that would be very risky. if you struggle to find enough then just apply for something unsuitable but that still appears suitable. in other words dont be daft and apply for a rocket scientist job.I do ask as much as i can think of at the time, they could also be more forthcoming, i did say that is all the jobs i can find which it was. He said they will send it to a decision maker anyway.
I did tell him i dont know how you can do your job to which there was no reply.0 -
thats good news. i'm glad it didnt turn out more serious for you.Adamthegreat984 wrote: »So after 3/4 phone calls to 0845 benefits hotline probably rinsing my parents phone bill..
I finally found a number for my advisor to get it from the horses mouth
who said at 3pm today it would be processed and payed in 3-4 hours same day payment.
They had down that i was excused for my signing and attended the course that day but im guessing they just forgot to click the button.0 -

Thanks, i wad on drop and go before so paperwork was different. If they pay you hardship why dont they just pay you your jsa. They are still costing themselvex money in admin and time. Crazy.:footie:0 -

I think the rules for hardship payments are very strict, I know I would never qualify as I get child tax credits and would be expected to live off that.0 -
