Just to say my jobsearch has been sent to a decision maker, my advisor says i did not apply for enoigh jobs. I dont see anywhere where it says the amount you have to apply for. So now ive got to wait and see.
So how many would have been enough? You asked?

Surely if you did not apply for enough there needs to be a level that is enough! What does it say on your Job search agreement? My advisor told me that the number in the write to box is what I have to do, if I can't find enough jobs to cover this then I can send out speculate CVs this is included in this figure, however it seems that there is no general rule each center makes up its own, however if you have done what this figure states it might be a basis to put an appeal in?

Yes so more was how much?

I do believe the problem here as with a lot of things is people not asking. Speak up and ask and you will know for sure. Don't and you are in the situation you are now in.

whilst it would be helpful to know the figure it is slightly irrelevant as all the advisor needed to do was pick a figure above what red devil had applied for! Red devil really needs to know where this figure is documented on their paperwork.

Just out of interest Red devil how many jobs did you apply for?

The amount I need to apply for each week is on my agreement. Red Devil has had the post work programme apt where they could have asked this and or clarified the amount.

I do ask as much as i can think of at the time, they could also be more forthcoming, i did say that is all the jobs i can find which it was. He said they will send it to a decision maker anyway.

I did tell him i dont know how you can do your job to which there was no reply.

Why do you keep picking up on people for what they dont do. You cant always think of everything. I am battling with a horrible advisor who isnt very forthcoming. I did say this is ad much as i can find this week, he still said im sending it off.

i have since emailed and asked how many jobs and i guess if it dosent go through i will sppeal and say that.

So when you got your JSA it has no figure on it for job applications? If that's the case then you have no problem at all and use that as your defence!

If it says Apply for 10 jobs a week and you only did 8 then you are in trouble.

Make sure the JSA has no figure on it.

IF you get a letter saying there is a doubt (and I hope you have the list of jobs you have filled out for the JC still) use that and the JSA as proof.

  • So after 3/4 phone calls to 0845 benefits hotline probably rinsing my parents phone bill..

I finally found a number for my advisor to get it from the horses mouth
who said at 3pm today it would be processed and payed in 3-4 hours same day payment.

They had down that i was excused for my signing and attended the course that day but im guessing they just forgot to click the button.
