Finished in July and I've been on the post work programme since. Been seeing the advisor at least once every other week since. Which included constant threats of having my money stopped. I somehow got all the way through the thing, without being sent on any daft courses too.

Apparently it was only a "pilot scheme". Sounds to me like the thing cost too much money to run.
mine has left me alone since october. another person who has the same adviser has only seen them once since july. another person who also has the same adviser is getting hassled seeing them alot and is being sent on alot of courses.

So it cant be that the advisor is bad as three different stories there.

I feel like signing off, nothing wrong with charity shops, but I'm not a socialite person.
One of my ideal jobs has came up twice, when I was on the work programme and they did nothing to help. I know it sounds strange, but I love the outdoors type job. It was for a squirrel ranger in northumberland. I'm not a deranged nut :D but I can't stand been cooped up!

    thanks

you may not work on the til in a charity shop and therefore wont have much contact with customers. when i was on placement in a charity shop i spent 99% of the time upstairs steaming, labeling etc.
have you considered looking for voluntary work in the outdoors type of work. i do it myself.

it shows they arent treating everyone the same. if i was the person getting sent on loads of courses i wouldnt be too happy. the way the adviser speaks to me when i do seen them tells me they arent very good.

Of course they aren't. The person being sent on the course may need it.

My advisor was an idiot. I was sanctioned through her incompetence and also wasted time and money applying for jobs that weren't suitable for me.

no, they are nonesense courses. i saw this person on the course i did and he is very intelligent. also regarding that course i did my adviser had not sent anyone on it before and didnt know anything about it. they even said you will be able to tell me about it when i see you next.

So in that case may be the advisor sent everyone on the course so they could find out about it?

not everyone, the other person i spoke about hasnt done it. i was the first. or at least thats what they claimed when they said i was going to do it. i've done nothing since and not seen my adviser since. while this other person has seen them a few times and done a couple more courses since.
