Finished WP and was given a place on my JC advisers new brainchild 'workshop'. It involved her using a projector to display pages from a JC booklet on the JSA that we have all seen a million times before.
1.Its a waste of time and money because everyone in the room was long term unemployed, so already know the JSA.

    2. Its a waste of time and money as all she needed to do was simply hand out the leaflet for us all to read.

    3. Its a waste of time and money as it does nothing to help people get back to work.

I have had benefits cut and have to pay rent and council tax, in the name of reducing the defecit, while JC staff are running around, wasting cash on garbage like this.

They claim that is the case
But as they keep making spurious claims I intend to ask for he legislation that says I must
what they are basically saying is list all the jobs that are on ujm. so what you say you will do is a good idea and asking them for the many diary sheets you would need to see their reaction would be a good idea also. if they said we cant give that many i would say how do you expect me to record them all then.

I have but they keep coming up with stuff that is stupid like recording jobs you don't apply for
So when you get a search result of 50 jobs say for the one day on one site such as lets say Reed they want you to list all 50 regardless of if you have applied or not?

And the point of this is what?

How ling will this take to list everything you HAVEN'T applied for?

    What a load of crap.

Sounds like you're getting a hard time and you're dealing with a clueless idiot.

Do you see same advisor each time, are they consistent or changing things all the time ?

Is there something that has happened or are they just like that ?

I think some people have been told not to list general things that don't produce a result like, looked in paper no vacancies, did this no vacancies, did that no vacancies, which can't lead to a job.

Doing things that don't help you get a job is against the basic rules of JSA, so spending a lot of time recording & listing jobs you have looked at, but which aren't suitable & you don't apply for, would be stupid & waste of time.

I don't understand the point though
I think they are being petty as no one has ever said to record what you don't apply for before
Yeah -50 would be what they seek including reasons why I didn't

    Same adviser
She had a tempter tantrum after I denied UJM access which is why she's being a petty vindictive billy
It's the same adviser and normally the same signon guy who colluded with her eg he lied that I said there was no retail jobs last time and found a job in Omagh which is rather far away and jobs from the 29th of October
I have a complaint against the female

Like someone said Id ask for 100 sheets as the sheet I get holds 15 jobs so that's 1500 jobs covered in two weeks - including the ones I would have applied for.

That's just one of the many reasons I'd say you are lucky with your jobcentre person

But you wouldn't sleep, wouldn't have any time to do anything else at all writing all those non jobs up.

It could end up stopping you looking for & applying for suitable jobs.

Documenting all this for JC is becoming equal to looking for & applying for jobs, which is stupid & counterproductive.

That's only my advisor, I don't sign with her. Anyone I see could tell me something else.

If they said I had to list every job I see and do not apply for Id ask to see the manager to ask them how they think this is possible and what portion of that time would they like me to set aside for the applications I will make.
