    Hello everyone

£16.59 spent so far this week, but I will only need more fruit and possibly yogurt before next Monday, so not too bad. I go SW so eat fruit and veggies in abundance, but at least I save on bread and marg:) Going to have a look round ALD* for fruit etc as haven't been in there for ages and keep seeing it mentioned

  • Bought some bread and milk etc yesterday.

    £7.54 spent in Teeescooos :)

Need to get some fruit today but am going to buy it in the village rather than waste fuel going to nearest supermarket.

Following on from my idea yesterday to pop into my local One Stop for reductions, went at lunchtime there was chicken breast at 2.00 for 400grms which I thought was quite good but I didnt really need it so didnt buy. I thought I would go back later to see if its reduced further
and have just been and Yes same packs for 1.00, there are 3 reasonable sized breasts.

So have bought 3 packs 3.00 spend for today then, So 9 chicken breasts for 3.00 is 33p each and since I have been trying to cut down on meat I can make 1 breast do 2 meals thats 18 potential meals 3.00 divided by 18 is around 17p. Cheaper than chips I think.

  • small spend of £5.15 to add to my total, planning on a few NSD's now
  • NSD today:j Had a good day, made tomato soup from some reduced tomatoes I had for tomorrows lunch, made a huge traybake cake for kids out of 1p cakes mixes bought from MrT a while back, just added eggs and chocolate, should last a good few days. Made GCJ Easy peasy garlic bread and posh mushroom chasseur for tea, had with some mash I had in freezer and a bit of wilting veg, delicious and so cheap. Definitely going to do a lot more of her recipes this month to try and stick within budget. :)
£2015 in 2015 (Although actual goal is £10 a day)
  • Well, NSD went out the window whilst shopping with the daughter. £12.30 to add, which included cereal that was half price, 3 lots of deodorant, bread, ice cream and pop. 3 lots of deodorant as my daughter kindly reminded me she needed one for pe bag, one for school bag and one for home. The joys of teenagers!!
