Was given some lovely farm eggs today so look forward to using them. Not so MSE I bought some posh bacon and some hash browns to go with them.
Oh well, going to sort meal plan ASAP.0 -

No trips to the supermarket today but missed having my fruit pot for breakfast so suspect I will end up buying one tomorrow. Had my measured cereal for breakfast (doing slimming world) but this didn't fill me up so a mid morning snack of a chocolate bar then home made cake meant I wasn't hungry for my lunch (chicken curry ready meal) so most of it got thrown away.
Hmmm OH is now out tomorrow eve so planned meal of chilli might have to be postponed till Wednesday evening - I made/cooked it on Saturday - will it be ok to eat wednesday night??0 -
Made another trip to Ald* tonight for things I forgot to put on the list yesterday. I spent £10.90 on bran flakes, mixed peppers and other bits and pieces. I bought coconut and margarine for flapjack at the weekend and a wholemeal crusty bread mix to have with HM soup at the weekend as well. Also bought a melon, mmm.

Day One of the challenge for me has gone rather well!! :j
I didn't actually spend any money today, but I did open/use things I bought over the weekend so I'm going to add the cost of them to my grocery bill for September. So that's milk and veggie mince - £2.79.
I made a MASSIVE pot of bolognaise with the mince, a load of veg that was about to go off and pasta sauce and seasoning etc from the cupboards. Had 2 portions with pasta today, having the same tomorrow and then taking another portion for my lunch at work on Wednesday. The rest is going in the freezer to make a lasagne next week. Today's snacks and dessert have been a couple of wrinkly old peaches and the last of the TRIPLE chocolate gateau from my belated birthday celebrations at the weekend
Hope everyone else has had a good day!!:ADFW Nerd 145

I was wondering since you use so little have your tried drinking your coffee black, it takes some getting used to, but I now dont drink it any other way.
Hi Meg
I have tried it before, and it's not the worst thing in the world, however I don't enjoy it. Also, only ever tried that with "real" coffee, I loathe my instant black (and I buy the good stuff!). I may try to make it less strong perhaps and see if that makes it more palatable. I definitely don't want to go down the road of adding sugar or anything as I am more than happy without!!

Did a shop yesterday at Ald* = £19.71 and at Mr T = £41.85. Got other few bits from Li*l today = £8.65.
As I am a freezer 'fan' hope that is most of spending except milk for this week.
I love fruit and veg but don't have a garden (in an apartment on east coast facing the sea) so can only grow a few herbs -:(
I must confess that I am one of those who like to keep a good stock cupboard and tend to buy up when I spot a good offer. Also as I don't have a local butcher usually bulk buy, cook and freeze when I get low.
I am hoping that over the months things will kind of level out and being on here might encourage me to spend less. :j£10day.2014=3213/2015=3421/2016=3238/2017=2702/2018=498..APR=12.03/300

Did calculations on how our grocery shopping has decreased since the 16/8 but yet we’re having better food! OH is also happy he’s getting home cooked food for lunch, result! Have started from the 16/8 because we have our receipts from then so…
w/c 16/8 - £77.42
w/c 23/8 – 42.59
w/c 30/8 – 20.12 so far, I’m predicting £25.00 max
w/c 6/9 – who knows.....:T keep going everyone:j0
