I am finding it a real help being on this and I it seems others feel the same. It is great to have a bit of support and not to feel you are the only one trying to s-t-r-e-t-c-h the £s.
Hope you all have a great week-end - meant to be warm and sunny ??? :rotfl:

Morning all. Yesterday was payday (woo hoo) so a fresh lot of food money. Hoping to get to our 'local' market ~20 miles away but Mr Shortie is doing bits for the village this morning and we're out this afternoon. I have the kids and hoovering this morning so not sure we'll get thereApril 2021 Grocery Challenge 34.29 / 2500

Morning everyone, I've just under £40 to last two main shopping days to stay under budget for September. I know it's doable and the crucial thing will be sticking to my list when I go shopping today.
We'll have sausages tonight, lamb shoulder tomorrow and prawns with pasta on Monday. After that I'm running out of main meals so will be hunting out YS bargains.
I spent £10ish in the Co-op yesterday and this included £2.75 on a YS cooked chicken and 33p for YS new potatoes, which I was pleased with.
I have around £4 in nectar points so that's helpful, I will try and stick to under £20 this week, but that has to cover a load of stuff for school lunches as well.
**edited to add, I spent £30 which leaves just under £10 until the end of Sept. Stocked up on own brand Weetabix and bought a couple of bits I didn't plan for. I will have at least £7 in nectar points by next Sat so £17 for then should be fine.. . Fingers crossed.
Should be proud of how far we've come x0 -
I am determined not to go shopping this weekend. I've already spent 85p over my budget for the month so I am trying to exercise some self control and make do with what is in the cupoards, fridge and freezer.
I don't think I'll get to the end of the month without spending but I'm going to save my £15 off a £60 shop from Mr T until the first of next month.0
