I'm afraid I can't take credit for working out the PP on the BNI deal in MrT. Have been reading about it for a while on the elite thread. Would you believe it my local doesn't do BNI! Its a glitch that sees the price in Morries as much less than T's
    Was still working today.

Spent a whopping £49.15 at ALDI which has taken me well over budget :o but I did get 2 boxes of nappies which cost £15, a box of wipes for £2.49, some sandwich boxes we need for £3.99 and so on. Got some broccoli and snack pack of grapes in the super 6 offer, very pleased with those. Even got soy sauce for 59p!!

Very pleased and this will last us now so next week will only be fresh bits. I did however forget dog food for our eldest so I'll have to get that tomorrow.

Declaring this week as £86.15/£50. £134.29 spent so far.

  • Hooray!! Wilkos have finally got back to me after my email complaint and have offered to send me a gift card. They haven't said how much will be on it but as long as it at least covers the money I lost then I'll be happy :)

Really couldn't be bothered cooking this evening, and I've not had a takeaway for ages, so I compromised and went to the corner shop for some treats! Spent £3 on a pizza, milkshake and a giant bag of crisps. Naughty but nowhere near as expensive as a takeaway pizza!!! :p

Also spent £1.39 on milk yesterday, but I'm still under budget so can afford to get some fruit and veg to see me through until my Mr T delivery next week .... if I can ever stop editing my shopping basket and place the order!! :rotfl:

  • Today I made coleslaw for the first time, I even impressed myself, more expensive than the value stuff I normally but but so worth it.

Used my charity shop (£8) food mixer bit of a disaster till I worked out how to fix the slicing blade in lol. I did HM mayo to go with it (super easy used a hand blender). It's something I will definitely be doing again. :)

We have ran out of bread so tomorrow need to get some, this is where I fail. I need to just go into the shop buy bread and LEAVE! I would go to the corner shop to avoid temptation but unfortunately the bread is not so fresh in there and being only the two of us I need the loaf to last as long as possible.
  • NSD here.
We had roast sweet potatoes + HM Salmon quiche + brocolli, carrots, white onion for dinner.

  • FINALLY did my stocktake last night - it wasn't as bad as I thought it was (last time I did one about a year ago we had 4 bags of pudding rice, 2 bags of risotto rice and about 3 bags of caster sugar!) however did find a few bits with two of the same item so combined them and now my cupboards, fridge and freezer look lovely and tidy! Also found that where the OH white bread gets chucked in the freezer after about Wednesday/Thursday, we had five x third of a loaf in the freezer! Takes up masses of room and that means we don't need bread next month.

Also found a couple of bulk made meals (lasagne, mushroom and stilton filo parcel) which I now can't eat due to the dairy, however still refusing to believe it so I may use them as my 'experimental' dishes to test my body over the next two weeks rather than buying something new which could essentially be wasted.

Anywho, now I have a much better idea of what is in the cupboard etc and have shown OH where the list is (in front of his eyes but hey ho) so that he can cross stuff off when he uses it and so he knows what is there.

Made falafels last night from AGCJ which were great and low in fat, added extra chilli to mine though. Made enough for dinner last night, lunch today with roasted med veg and dinner tonight to use up what will probably be the last of the salad as it is definitely hot food weather now. Last portion will be eaten Sunday as I am running a training course and need a packed lunch.

Have a good weekend everyone x
