ljb2 said:Hi All,
We are with Nationwide, using the gov HTB Equity Loan. AIP sorted early on, HTB Authority to proceed granted, mortgage application done and Nationwide confirmed valuation booked for 08/07. Hard search on our credit files by Nationwide on 26/06. How quickly are mortgage offers going through after valuation with Nationwide? I believe ours is a physical valuation not desktop.
Also, do they bother with a valuation after a hard credit search if they do not think you are eligible for a mortgage?
Feeling so nervous and trying not to get our hopes up,
Good luck everyone!
-AIP
- application ( hard searches need to be ok)
- underwriting
-valuation
-offer
so when you have valuation booked they are happy with everything prior0 -
Super_Rover said:Hi,
Long time stalker of the boards. Me and soon to be Mrs Super_Rover reserved a new build home (our first home) on the outskirts of Glasgow last month. Full application for mortgage with Skipton Building Society submitted yesterday via broker. Emails and texts received today confirming Skipton have accepted the case and valuation instructed. Valuation taking place next Tuesday.0 -
Lancs1234 said:Anyone any recent experiences with accord? We have just been told by our mortgage advisor they're still considering due to it being extremely tight and close to their maximum, however we've just found out they've not taken any of my partners overtime into consideration (She's an A&E nurse and this equates to £8k-10k per year). Very annoying especially when finding out this has been the issue for the last 2 weeks 😒.
Their website states they should accept 60% of any regular overtime too.0 -
So I got an update. My additional docs are finally being assessed by the underwriters. They told my broker they would hopefully get back to her by Friday with either a valuation date or to request additional documents. No idea why the valuation hasn't been instructed before this but at least something is sort of moving so it's better than the last 4 weeks of updates, so I'll take it for now!

reb_29 said:There are a lot of people on this thread! I signed up for MSE Forum purely for this reason. I knew others would be in the same dilemma. I haven't read every post as there are so many, so apologies if this has already come up, but is anyone in the same position as me?Applied for 90% LTV through Habito on 17th June. Not awaiting mortgage decision as such, but awaiting application(!) as Habito have told me about the limitations on applications. I understand why they won't give me a time-frame but it's driving me mad not knowing if the application will be submitted in 2 days or 2 months! ANY information at all would be appreciated!0

Do you think you mortgage advisor/ broker is aware that when they say “we should have an update within 24h” you call them in 24 h and 1 minute ??
