Any experience anyone - why Santander requests for more information in form of last 2 years p60s after the valuation survey is conducted ? .. feeling v anxious and worried ! we got our survey done yesterday and MB advised offer should be issued as all previous documents were accepted, however today the 31st underwriters came back with requesting more information related to employment in form of p60s and last three month salary slips !!!!

Also Santander full application went in 18th Dec, valuation booked 19th Dec for Dec 23rd. Mortgage broker advised valuation did not happen and no one knows why, valuation re- booked for 6th Jan. so it’s been a what feels like really long wait so far. We are buying our second home using htb 72% ltv. Happy new year! :)

I must have been lucky.. Self employed, partner on zero hour contract. Mortgage offer was offered to us 23 hours after full application as they did a desktop valuation and came in the post a few days later!
  • Just checked my online mortgage checker.

    It says accepted!!

I really really want to join this thread... been lurking on and off for 3 years. Have applied to buy my housing association house in October, they sent their surveyor in December and I am expecting an offer price sometime between now and 19th January if they stick to the timescales.

As soon as I get the price I'm hoping to apply for the mortgage via a broker as I do have a bit of adverse history and am a Bank Nurse so it might be a little more complex getting the mortgage than if i had a contract.

I am just so nervous and excited! Ive lived in the house 7 years and done as much as possible to it without actually owing the house. Since Christmas is over its back to all I can think about, I really really hope I can get a mortgage.

Fingers crossed I’ll be joining you all shortly.

  • Good luck FTB.

    Offer in the post!

    Offer received.

Now the joys of kicking solicitors into gear, as they’ve been pretty dire to get a hold of.

Survey done, everything okay. Just the searches to do now and completion date is very very soon.

Back to being nervous again. :-(

hopeful FTB here, me and my partner are quite a complex case, I work 3 different jobs and she is a zero hours care worker, anyway we got our AIP from Halifax and submitted a application using our advisor a couple of weeks ago, we haven't heard much from our advisor but Halifax have charged us for a valuation and have been in touch with the site we have reserved at. anyone else had experience with this? does this mean they've done the financial checks?
  • Very nervous second time buyers here. Feeling very up in the air as our house has sold, and gone through valuation already while our mortgage application so far has gone nowhere. Do nationwide underwrite before valuation? Timeline so far

    3/1 Successful AIP
13/1 Accept an offer on our house, offer elsewhere and submit full application
15/1 Text to say application received (not sure why so long as done online via broker)
17/1 Request to clarify a tax credit payment

That’s it so far! I’m just desperate to know! Our vendor is keen to see we are progressing so I’m just gagging to get to survey point. With any luck by then it’s pretty much a home run
