I'm going back to work soon! hubby self-employed.we are renting at moment.

Trying to get a mortgage when your self-employed is a nightmare!
Anyway we have 60% deposit, need to borrow at least 4x profit, so affordability borderline I suppose.

10/1 Saw house on right move
10/1 Viewed house
13/1 1st offer rejected, 2nd accepted

Long story but thought we had an AIP, a previous purchase that fell through, through EA internal guy, no such luck so had to start from scratch.

01/2 Appointed new MA who could search all of market
02/2 Told us to request SA302's from inland revenue
02/2 Rang IR asked them to be faxed said "no"
Rang again got some one nice -faxed across
06/2 Received original SA302's in post
11/2 Full application to Barclays/woolwich
11/2 Requested a years worth of proof of our rental payments

Now we wait.......:eek:

Todays Update: Valued at the sale price, and we should expect a formal offer once the cogs within Santander have done their magic (I'm presuming this means we should be good, but some system or another needs to generate the offer letter and send it out.

Hopefully we'll here soon. Time to chase the solicitors I guess!

Well it was a long time coming and it seemed as though the wait would never end, but at 5pm yesterday we got a call from our MA to tell us that our full application HAD BEEN ACCEPTED AND A VALUATION WOULD BE INSTRUCTED!!!!!!!!!!!! :j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j

OK so Virgin got back to my broker the valuation report got back to them yesterday and all came back fine and at purchase price!

Broker says should find out in the next 48hours and will get either the mortgage offer or if they require may ask for more information..

Ill be miffed if its for more info as they have had over two weeks to request more info! Fingers crossed for the offer so I can grow my hear back and get a good night sleep!

If you've had the house your buying valued does this mean everything else is ok? Seller told us it was valued Monday by our lender


MA said should hear something tomorrow but it's driving me crazy!
