Fantastic congrats to who has there offer,

I'm still waiting was told on Wednesday it would be a couple of days called on Saturday morning it would be Monday worse case it would be Tuesday not heard yet but the suspense is killing me and I can't focus at work arghhhh starting to feel down lol

We're in the same boat, nothing we can do about it sadly. I've just been trying to find things to do that stop me thinking about any of it. Obviously that's been slightly unsuccessful as I'm on here ;)

Phew just been told that we've been approved but...they were waiting to send out the letter until we told them whether we were taking their inhouse buildings/contents insurance or not.

It's not a condition of the mortgage but is a condition to have insurance in place before they release the funds. So if we didn't take their insurance, then they'll add a condition into the mortgage that we have to have insurance in place. Madness. I said well put in the condition and we'll either take your insurance or the third party insurance but there will be insurance in place so that you can release the funds. They then pushed me a bit more to decide then and there but I wouldn't.

Not being funny but we've got 2-3 weeks to decide before we need the funds releasing and its a separate decision from the decision who to use for the mortgage - I've got to get alternative quotes and stuff.
  • Can't be bothered finding my original posts but... we're exchanging tomorrow with completion planned for 25th feb :-D

Ok minor update, we got accountants certificate emailed to them on Friday which is for income confirmation, also survey was completed Thursday, off plan and in theory should be fine as the same company did the other properties in the same development.

My broker rung them earlier today for an update and they said all they where waiting for was the survey report and copy builders warranty which should be with them within the next day..

Can I take it that i may get an offer issued once they have them?

    I'm on mortgage application number 2 :(

    27/01/14 Offer made.
    28/01/14 Offer accepted.
28/01/14 - 31/01/14 After much hoo hah with the building society and not being able to get an appointment for 3 weeks I'm finally told I can apply over the phone.
    31/01/14 DIP over the phone.
    31/01/14 Phone application made.
    03/02/14 Valuation booked.

    Now I just wait.

This time they wanted proof of rent being paid, unfortunately i don't pay rent, my ex does, I pay all the bills instead. So I now have to rely on the letting company providing a good reference.

    03/02/14 valuation satisfactory
05/02/14 letting agency reference received and satisfactory
07/02/14 payslip requested despite giving them payslip the previous Friday. Payslip magically found after an angry phone call.
    10/02/14 payslip satisfactory
10/02/14 mortgage offer received by text :j

Woooo hooooo underwriters have approved our morgage but want to see a signed copy of my contract (i stupidly forgot to sign it) and someone from my HR department and a copy of my child bennefit letter (the morgage advisor never asked for it as it was on my bank statement) but getting that to them tomorow and all being well they will issue our offer on Thursday/Friday!! I can't believe it, once we have our offer I can relax a wee bit until we have our keys!

Once we have our keys I can relax and make a home for our family

Hope everyone else finds out soon xxx

Just out of interest for some if you..
Our valuation took place Thursday and MA said we'd hear today or tomorrow...
Chased MA at 11am this morning and was emailed a copy of the offer... 2 hours later the postman arrived with the actual letter offer dated Friday!
