2.8.19 valuation complete and received back to nationwide. Nationwide requested further info regarding my job
5.8.19 text from nationwide confirming we have an offer!! Broker confirmed for full amount with no conditions.
Super happy and celebrating with a takeaway and a bottle of wine this evening.
That was super quick!0 -
our valuation has been booked for Friday, application has been with the underwriters since yesterday due to be completed by tomorrow and so far no further documents have been requested.
I literally keep checking my emails every 2 minutes to make sure I dont miss anything incase something comes through!
So far all smooth, just been waiting for our memorandum of sale to be sent through but delay in the estate agents post room so havent received yet.0 -
I know we were so impressed by how quick it's all happened! Couldn't believe it and neither could the broker!0

Great news Jellytot!!
We had valuation done yesterday. We are remortgaging to Nat West.
Anyone know how long it takes for the surveyor to notify bank of valuation?0 -
I'd like to know that too Jessy, our Natwest valuation is booked in for Thursday, itching to find out the results! We are FTBs, presume the valuation is on your own house if you're remortgaging?
Edit: found someone just up thread, brendon20ukk, who had their valuation survey with Natwest done on 21 Junev (Tuesday) and received mortgage offer on 24 June (Friday). Fingers crossed :cool:0 -
Yes RosieFlowers. We are remortgaging and wanting to borrow to build extension. I'm worried about valuation.0

Thought I would join in this one as we've applied for a mortgage through Masthaven and can't find much about them on the forum in terms of timelines etc. For info we are buying with 65% LTV and are looking to borrow 2.5x our joint salaries. I have a number of defaults and a couple of pay day loans which are all satisfied.
25th July: AIP received through broker
2nd August: Full application submitted (and Masthaven contacted the agent we're buying through the same day)
Update:
25th July: AIP received through broker
31st July: Viewed House, put offer in
2nd August: Full application submitted (and Masthaven contacted the agent we're buying through the same day)
5th August: Money taken from bank for application fee and valuation
6th August: Offer accepted on new house0 -
Hi,
I have found this forum a great source of information so decided to join in the thread! We are FTB purchasing a new build which we will hopefully complete on in October 2018. I have a few late payments (one Sept 2018 due to fraud on account and some around 2014 due to poor account management/break in employment) and my partner is self employed so I'm not expecting it to be completely plain sailing.
Here is where we are so far:
19 Jul 2019- Reserved plot with agreement to complete 18 Aug 2019
31 Jul 2019- AIP from Halifax. Broker advised new rates from NatWest expected soon so recommended to hold off to see what they are
06 Aug 2019- AIP from NatWest (better rates)
06 Aug 2019- Full application to NatWest
Heres to the next stages!:beer:0 -

02/07: AIP recieved through Broker
20/07: Viewed house
22/07: Offer placed £10k under asking
24/07: Offer accepted
25/07: Solicitors instructed
26/07: Full application completed with broker and submitted to The West Brom
29/07: Mortgage application reviewed by Lender and hard credit search completed. Valuation instructed.
31/07: Valuation and survey completed
Chased the broker today and all things financially in terms of affordability etc... have been passed but the lender had sent a query to the surveyor regarding something on the valuation.
Hoping to have a decision by early/mid next week.
07/08 - Recieved a text from the lender confirming mortgage offer has been issued
Broker also emailed confirming the same and everything's all good.
The post valuation query has had me on edge for the last week. Super happy today :beer:0 -
Congrats scholesfan88! Your valuation was done quickly wasn't it, may I ask who you've gone with?0
