Just like Chill1977 two posts up, I'm another FTB attempting to buy 40% of a shared ownership apartment. i'm buying off the 2nd phase of the development and saw the original show home last August so was just waiting on them to release this phase.

    01/03 - Apartments go on sales/offer
01/03 - Submit my Financial Assessment
04/03 - Approved for Financial assessment
04/03 - Submit my preference form to HA
    04/03 - 1st choice accepted
    06/03 - Reservation fee paid
07/03 - DIP submitted to Leeds Building Society but refereed
    08/03 - DIP Approved
13/03 - Memorandum of sale received via email from HA
    14/03 - Solicitors appointed
15/03 - Broker submitted full mortgage application to Leeds Building Society
15/03 - Check application online (via brokers portal) and broker has made several mistakes on everything from addresses to financial info :( so have emailed them a list of all the errors, hopefully they resolve first thing on Monday.

Now the waiting begins. This phase is going to drive me insane as I have zero patience and hate not being in control or not knowing whats happening. HA want to exchange 12 April so it all needs to happen quite quickly regardless. Bring on a bucket of valium! :rotfl:
  • We applied through a broker to Nationwide yesterday morning. Haven’t had a text about valuation yet, our DIP was referred presumably because my other half was declared bankrupt 9 years ago.

We’re hoping it’ll go through ok as we’ve both got good credit records on Experian I paid all credit cards off last May the wait is horrible

  • -Offer accepted sometime in Feb
    -AIP with NatWest 07-Mar-19
    -Full application submitted 14-Mar-19

    Now the wait...

Thought I would add my timeline below:

    23/09/18 - Viewed Plot/Plans
    28/09/18 - DIP Received
    30/09/18 - Reservation (New Build)
    7/12/18 - H2B Application Submitted
12/12/18 - H2B Application Resubmitted due to incorrect sums
    17/12/18 - H2B AIP Received
10/01/19 - Paid Solicitors to start searches to show willing as did not want to exchange contracts until March (agreed with Persimmon)
14/02/19 - Received call from Solicitors to say searches have not been done and Solicitor we have been communicating with is actually not looking after our account since December...
14/02/19 - New DIP with Aldermore
15/02/19 - Full Application sent in to Aldermore
    15/02/19 - Hard Searches done
18/02/19 - Sent back Signed Declaration and Direct Debit Form and answered questions about outgoings (all happy with that)
    18/02/19 - New Solicitors instructed
    21/02/19 - Valuation Booked

Annoyingly we're 4 weeks behind where we should be due to the original solicitors not doing what they were paid to do and having to instruct new solicitors. But Aldermore are moving pretty quickly and were lucky that the broker is keeping us updated. I guess next week we will be looking at an update sometime, fingers crossed!
