17/10 - gave my broker lots of financial info
18/10 - more info to broker and solicitor
19/10 - mortgage valuation done
29/10 - survey done
30/10 - lender asked for P60
Hoping to see the report from the surveyor soon, and that nothing too terrifying will be in it.0 -

I am so insanely jealous of you right now0 -
22/10 - Offer Accepted / AIP
01/11 - Mortgage application submitted to Platform
02/11 - Declaration signed and submitted along with supporting documents
My OH received a late payment charge today...he hasn’t realised anything was due since no statement received! Balance was only £12 toohe immediately paid it but contested it and they’ve reversed the charge out of goodwill but couldn’t say if it work put a default on his credit file. Anyone have any ideas? If it does, is this going to screw things up? Neither of us have any other defaults

Hi could ask if anyone has had any experience of using L&C brokers? I don’t have a great credit history so I’ve been told to use a broker that can help in my situation. Any advice or recommendations would be very appreciated0

This was a few years ago when I had to pay my monthly credit card payments to Sainsburys bank. I completed the online transaction 2 days before the stipulated date of payment and once on the day of payment.. but the next month statement showed a £12 charge and I contested it.. they reversed the charge and it was not reported as missed payment on credit file either.

This is good to know! It was showing as late on his Experian so I'm hoping that will change since they reversed it0 -
Wow! Some of these responses have been really quick!
Me and OH are buying a new build on the Share to Buy Scheme:
26/10 - Mortgage Application Submitted
29/10 - Underwriters asked for a few more details/documents
05/11 - Valuation took place
So now just waiting... Our Mortgage Application is with the Halifax so hoping for a quick response as some of you have had. If the Valuation has taken place is this a good sign towards getting the mortgage offer seeing as we have already had all of the credit checks etc with the underwriters?
Thanks for any help! x0 -

I used L&C and am very happy with the service. That said, my case was quite straightforward, and my credit record very good, so don't know how that might translate. Might be worth at least having a conversation with them, see what they say.0 -
I've applied for a mortgage through with leeds building society. Now it's with the underwriters now and the valuation has been booked in for tomorrow. I called them today and they said that theyll update my mortgage broker on Thursday. I'm so nervous. Quick question though would leeds proceed with a valuation if they weren't happy with the application or it's still 50/50? Any experience with leeds building society0
