Hi all, in case it helps anyone dealing with Clydesdale, here are the timings so far for our mortgage application:
09/10 - Application submitted to Clydesdale
11/10 - Credit check on Experian and valuation instructed for the 15/10
15/10 - Valuation of flat
16/10 - Clydesdale update our broker to let them know the flat was undervalued by E-Surv
17/10 - Seller agreed to meet valuation price and broker updated Clydesdale to proceed
23/10 - Confirmation from Clydesdale that application is currently being reviewed by senior underwriter
24/10 - Clydesdale ask broker to confirm some additional information and broker replies the same day.
And now we're waiting for approval on our application. We have been told to expect an update by COB today.0 -
Hi everyone!!
We’re others who have estate agents saying to us if we don’t have a survey within two weeks they’ll relist the property (but they did say the same about if they didn’t see the AIP of my buyer but changed their tune when my buyers mortgage advisor rang them so think they are just trying to gee us along).
13/10 - viewing / obtain AIP Post Office
15/10 - offer rejected
16/10 - offer accepted
18/10 - try to do full application online with Post Office who then say we have to do paper apps due to it being a mortgage port (why didn’t they tell us this in the first place arrrrgggh)
24/10 - paperwork finally arrives
25/10 - paperwork submitted
26/10 - paperwork received
Now just impatiently waiting them gettin in touch to take payment for the survey. Might just ring them on Monday and chase them up :A0 -
Still find this surreal guys. We applied for a joint mortgage under help to buy london. We are also first time buyers
Broker sends in application to Halifax 17/10
We receive offer in post 26/10
We did not expect it to be this quick. Still find it hard to believe as we got no communication or anything lol.0 -

Thank you - and good luck! We've just send them some additional info they asked for, now back to waiting. Fingers crossed for us both.Starting debt (Aug 2018) £17,900

Does the lender get the solicitor to do credit searches? I've had a search by my solicitors, but not my mortgage provider?0

Thanks! The only update we received on Friday was confirmation that they were happy with the information provided by the broker (employment start dates) and didn't need anything further so the application was going back to the underwriter for final review. Apparently, whenever additional information is requested, they need 48hrs to process the information provided before it can be sent back to the underwriter for review which probably explains why applications through Clydesdale take longer than other lenders. In any case, they told us to expect an update by Tuesday COB. Fingers crossed it goes well for the both of us!0 -

Banks will always do their own searches and wouldn't use the solicitors search for the application. Your solicitor would have done a credit search on you to obtain your AIP. When the banks searches your credit report it will leave a credit application search on your report which will be visible to all lenders.0 -

Valuation instructed 5.10.18
Experian credit check 8.10.18
Valuation: 11.10.18
Valuation report from surveyor 15.10.18
Response from Clydesdale 23.10.18
Response was to request 1 more payslip + ask for a specialist survey on something the valuer picked up. So, prob another week minimum til we get the report from that survey and who knows how long til Clydesdale respond after that...
29.10.18 sent the broker the specialist report.
Can they just hurry up & make a decision now please, it's almost a month since our credit check so it's frustrating that they're still asking for payslips :-(Starting debt (Aug 2018) £17,900
