I hope something happens soon otherwise the seller may decide not to sell to us as its taking so long! I hope that is not the case!

On to the MA every day, few times a day - probably sick of me by now haha.

Valuation is normally done pretty quick? I suppose once its done on the 29th, they will submit the report pretty quick so shouldnt be too long before you exchange, maybe a 1 week delay?

Im sure that wont happen. I dont think that would happen unless you were really dragging your heels. Whomever else might want to buy the property would have to go through the same application process so it would just increase the sellers time further. I think youll be fine :)

I hope so with regards to the report, the problem is me and the OH are both teachers so if we could have completed and exchanged during the Easter break it would make moving in so much less stressful.:(

Lets hope your right! Even if there was a valutaion booked or something, then the EA could see some kind of activity! Just gotta wait I suppose!

I know what you mean but main thing is to get everything done and completed :)
  • Hi All

Just received an offer from Nationwide, I’m a FTB in Wales. Kept an eye on this thread past few weeks, so thought I'd post my timeline as I know how infuriating the wait is.

    24th Feb - Application Submitted
26th Feb - Valuation Booked (for 1st March)
28th Feb - Valuation rearranged (for 5th March)
5th March - Valuation rearranged (for 6th March)
5th March - Valuation rearranged (for 15th March).. Quite annoyed at this point!
17th March - Broker informed me valuation was done and came in at purchase price (no text from NW).
21st March - Valuation Received, Valuation Report Approved, Mortgage Offer texts all at once!

    Hope this helps reassure someone..

It's been the longest 3.5 weeks of my life, hang on in there!
  • Woo hoo mortgage guarantee came through today for my new build , full application only handed in last Monday , there’s hope for everyone if I can get a mortgage with my payday loan history , after reading a lot of posts on here i thought I had no chance of getting mortgage !

OK - I thought usually the 3 payslips are all they want along with proof of deposit?

Maybe to be honest, I just gave everything I was expecting to the broker and haven't heard anything apart from a phone call from the Bank asking for payment for Homebuyers report I asked for.

Can I ask if the seller not findng a house can cause issues at this stage?

    Our timeline update :)

    5/3 house viewed
    7/3 offer excepted
    10/3 DIP reproduced
    12/3 mortgage application with platform
12/3 mortgage rejected due to DH changing jobs 6 months continued service required with platform
    12/3 mortgage application with halifax
15/3 full mortgage offer subject to valuation,
    20/3 valuation booked /done
22/3 valuation report and full mortgage paperwork received in post

One very happy bunny considering I feel ive taken on the national debt
most of the searches are already back so all on track to exchange and complete in a couple of weeks
Should clarify we had an expired mortgage offer already with halifax on a different property that fell through so most likely why our offer came through so quickly. Nothing had really changed other than our deposit and DH wage being a little higher than before.
