Think we're right behind you. Application sent to underwriters today, valuation booked for 20th but some good news, we'll keep the interest rate we applied for.0

So this may seem like a really stupid question but I’m hoping someone can clarify for me as I’m not fully understanding.
Once you’ve submitted your application with the lender and you’ve paid your valuation fee. Will you know straight away whether your approved (subject to valuation) based on your credit check or whether you’ve been declined or do you have to wait for that?0 -

It depends on the banks process....Leeds do underwriting then valuation but they book the valuatiin on the day you submit your application but will cancel it if there is a problem....once valuation is done its pretty much a formality.
However i do believe some banks underwrite at the end of the process.....brokers usually kbow how each bank works0 -
Ive been following this for a few months now while waiting for our home to receive an offer. Here is my timeline...
18/7 - AIP from Halifax
25/10 - written offer on our house (accepted)
26/10 - refreshed home report carried out on our house (sent to buyer, along with qualified acceptance)
27/10 - offer accepted on house to purchase
30/10 - written offer submitted requesting refreshed home report on property we hope to buy. Sol asks for written acceptance by 10/11 at 5pm
31/10 - All requested docs sent to Broker (2 months payslips, verification of address x 2 each for me and husband, 2 forms of ID to be verified at Post Office (£10.30 per person), both credit files, 2 months bank statements.
8/11 - full application to halifax submitted
8/11 - both credit files show full application search
10/11 - 4.48pm written acceptance received by solicitor no sign of refreshed home report (sol to chase on Monday). Proposed entry date 18/1/18 which my buyer is happy with
10/11 - broker advises that application going well and hopes to get back to us soon.
12/11 - like others on here so nervous/stressed just hoping to get over this final hurdle.0 -
waiting on application being underwritten. I'm a new IT contractor who is 3 months into a 6 month contract, most lenders look for at least 12 months contracting history but halifax are happy to accept day 1 contractors if you have been in the same industry for over 2 years.
My annual salary is 81,600
Home report value is 200k
offer accepted for 195k
looking to put down 10% deposit.
Nervous!0
