Hello! Can I join?
05.09.2017 - AIP generated
13.09.2017 - Offer accepted on our flat
13.09.2017 - Offer accepted on the house we want to buy
18.09.2017 - Meeting with mortgage broker to hand over all the documents
25.09.2017 - Mortgage application submitted
27.09.2017 - Valuation on the house takes place
02.10.2017 - Bank come back and say they want to see an extra month's pay slip without pension contribution on it as HR employer letter not good enough... everything on hold until 25th October earliest.
This is really frustrating because now we can't do anything but wait. We don't know if the mortgage will be approved, we've had to pay for searches earlier than we wanted to make sure we don't slow everything up and it's all in limbo right now.Our broker says he's never seen an application get this far, where they've checked all the other documents and not come out with an offer, so he thinks it's straightforward and we'll be issued an offer as soon as the payslip is sent over. But he also hadn't seen a bank not accept a letter from the employer on headed paper before. So. We wait!

Hi Cinnamon
Small update, we are still waiting for the survey report and no one seems to know if that's coming by email or post, and if it's direct from the surveyor or via the lender.
However the lender, post office, are happy with the valuation and should be making the mortgage offer by the end of the week. So the broker feels there can't be anything terrifying in the survey.
Getting good at being patient now...

13/10 mortgage application complet3
15/10 request to provide further documents for mortgage
16/10 instructed solicitors
16/10 survey booked in for 18/10

My first post here.
Had a bit of a crazy one.
01/09 DIP
09/09 Offer made & accepted
15/09 Mortgage Application with all documents
26/09 Valuation
Then the valuation had to be redone because they forgot to tell the valuer about underpinning that had to be done when nearby drains collapsed
06/10 Valuation approved
07/10 I'm informed that I don't have the right documents and they wouldn't say which
12/10 Resubmitted tax overview
13/10 Informed they didn't have the SA302s that I gave in the initial meeting
16/10 Get SA302's sent to me again
18/10 Sent the SA302s in again
Pretty sure the sellers are getting grumpy due to this, they thought it'd be quicker due to me being first time buyer.
If they then decide it's unacceptable and I don't get the mortgage offer, I'll be !!!!ed.0 -
Hope its plain sailing Piranha and Budapest
I got an update quicker than expected, mortgage has been offered!! Exactly 1 month from approaching our broker. So I'm moving over to the waiting to complete thread
Good luck all!

I’m joining this thread. We are trying to remortgage to clear debt and home improvement. It’s a big ask though so I’m very nervous!
9-10-17- spoke with broker and sent statements across etc
10-10-17 - receive a dip at a good rate which astounds me!
17-10-17 - receive application pack in post from lender, sign and return in the post next day.
Hate things in the post, causes such a delay. Was hoping for email correspondence as far as possible0 -
Valuation carried out on Tuesday nd came back same day ok just waiting on offer now but lender says upto 7 days0
