We meet again stu! You appear to be the only person in the same boat as me right now. NatWest intermediary solutions showing up on my equifax report as a hard search, done at DIP stage through a broker. Does this mean all is ok regards credit checks?

Application been in 3 days and I'm already nervous as hell :j

Well I am NOT impressed

    30th - decision in principle for £215k
    9th Aug - offer accepted
17th - full application done through broker for £215k
22nd - broker requested extra docs
29th - building society got back to broker to say would only lend £212k
29th - I emailed proof of impending pay rise which will easily cover the extra £13 a month
31st broker emailed to say senior underwriter will now only lend us £195k (rising to £202 once pay rise has started) due to my student loan payment - which both broker and building society have known about from the start

To say I am NOT impressed is an understatement  surely the point of a broker is to avoid such shennanigans? And how come building society would lend us £212k on Tuesday but only £195k two days later??

Tried ringing broker but no answer. I'm actually on holiday and could do without this!

Still not sorted - I have now emailed different proof of payrise, AND figured out I can pay the damn student loan off from savings to make that problem go away, but no answer yet.

I am also VERY unimpressed with broker - all of the above has been communicated in two line emails from the admin staff, and despite repeated requests from me the broker has so far failed to even give me a five minute phone call to explain what happened (I suspect it was his fault for not putting the student loan on the original application), or to tell me what our options are - I came up with idea of paying off student loan myself.

Would have liked the opportunity to discuss the wisdom of paying off loan to get mortgage with broker, but as he refuses to talk to me... I know it's not normally advised, but there's not much left, and if it's the only way of getting the house... Of course, I don't *know* if it's the only way of getting the house as I can't talk to the bloody broker!

Sick to death of having to ring the admin team every day and be fobbed off.

Hey ho. I suppose these things are sent to try us. I went to him because of a recommendation though and I certainly won't be recommending him to anyone else, even if he does get me the mortgage!

Bemoan that was a quick response from precise. I have just requested atp from htb agent hoping we get that Friday and full app in then.

We are selling our flat to purchase new build so hoping their mortgage progressing well just got to tick off listed building consent which hopefully with small tweak we will get tomorrow.
