    Any news BENEVS?

Not yet, mailed my mortgage adviser yesterday who told me that 'them taking there time is a good thing'? if there was a problem they would be on the phone straight away.

Anxiously waiting today.... Apparently should take 48 hours but should be today....

Trying not to email him chasing updates, I've mailed him every day for the past 2 weeks!

All mortgage paperwork received in the post today, had a good read through and everything is in order :T
DH works away and went back last night so timing is unfortunate in that he can't sign anything until he's back next Sunday, and then it's a Bank Holiday. Frustrating as I like to get everything turned around and back in the post immediately - won't have anyone accusing me of holding things up :rotfl:
My solicitor was in receipt of the draft contract from vendors solicitor a couple of weeks ago, so hoping she'll get the initial info out to me this week! Exciting :T

Fingers crossed to everyone else waiting...

I just got all excited at an email from brokers - but it was just asking for a missing bank statement (my fault, there was a giant list and I must have just missed one) and the last 3 years 'tax overviews' for DH - I thought I'd already given them these, but apparently that was the 'tax calculations', which are different...

Apparently we should just be able to download them from the online system though so we'll do that tonight and send them straight off.

Hoping that means the building society have already been looking at our application, and not just that the brokers are only just getting round to uploading it onto the system themselves! :o

Also had a giant form from the solicitors today which I think must be the TA6 form (to disclose alterations and disputes etc). DH is fretting as we have no documentation for some alterations that were done 26 years ago but there's not much we can do about that now other than offer an indemnity policy (and I'm taking NO responsibility as I was still in school when it was done! :rotfl: )

Will be VERY glad when all this is over and done with!

    Great new pumpkin! :j

Complete lack of patience from me. Full application only done last Thursday and already I'm tearing my hair out :o :rotfl: Gone against all advice (again) and instructed solicitors already, so searches have already been commissioned :o Whatever happens, it won't be me holding things up! :rotfl:

I have to admit, I instructed solicitors before receiving my formal mortgage offer too :o
  • Hello everyone!

    My timeline so far:
28th July - Viewed, Submitted offer and had offer accepted on house
31st July - Received AIP from Natwest
14th August - Submitted full mortgage application
    17th August - Appointed Solicitors
18th August - Had a call about Home insurance from mortgage brokers (Surely a good sign?!)
21st August - Had confirmation from Mortgage brokers that a Valuation will take place on Thursday 24th.

Now onto the waiting game! I am so nervous!! I really have a bad feeling about this and I don't know why..

What is the time frame that you usually hear back from a Valuation? And if the valuation is acceptable does that mean you basically have been accepted/approved for the mortgage??

    Thanks in advance!

Can hear back from the valuation within a few days.
Read back in the thread if you have some time and see what some other Natwest customers have said :)
