Monday Morning update on my application via - Natwest

    My time line:
    08/02/17 - AIP Done
    08/02/17 - Viewed House
    09/02/17 - Offer Accepted
    13/02/17 - Full Application Submitted
    14/02/17 - Valuation Booked - Fee's taken
16/02/17 - Valuation Done - Report given to Natwest
16/02/17 - Asked for more info - info submitted
17/02/17 - Viewing online Tracker of mortgage - Assessing valuation report

I know I'm not the only one in the world to have a mortgage going through natwest but I already know that they have confirmed the price is the price we are paying on valuation report from speaking to there customer services...

just need someone to press the button so they send me out an offer hopefully lol been on assessing valuation since Friday morning.. need to make another coffee and chill, hate the waiting game, and I feel quite lucky my time line is moving quite fast to others, can only imagine the Nailbiting of others when it takes even longer
  • Those applying through natwest did you get confirmation from them when a valuation/survey was booked for?!

I have no patience for this mortgage process and as I live in Scotland I believe I don't have to wait on the valuation being done (home report etc is less than 3 months old) although, please correct me if I'm wrong.

I wanted an answer last week when they didn't even have the application lol.

Things at home are definitely tense...

No I didn't get a confirmation - I just called the EA to check whether it was booked!

  • Offer accepted 8th Feb
Mortgage advisor meeting 10th Feb (has gone through projections in 2016 so we knew the ballpark mortgage wise)
Solicitors instructed 9th Feb (and confirmation letters in post)
Surveyor booked for 13th Feb - our own building report
    mortgage in principal done
valuation fees paid today 16th Feb and formal mortgage applications submitted (BTL and residential)
Valuation today on house we are buying 20th Feb
Additional info request from underwriters 20th Feb
Valuation on wed on BTL remortgage 22nd Feb

Its making me very twitchy!!! We didn't plan on buying in Feb and spent a lot of disposable income last year and Christmas - so just hope this doesn't go against us. Its all money we had just and spent on holidays and Christmas .....just need to get a quick +ve decision to save my nerves.

  • Mortgage application on 10/Feb

Nationwide are asking for more details regarding my car allowance because as it is on the payslip it's not acceptable as basic income. Sent my contract stating it's monthly and written into my contract last Friday and I should hear more feedback by about Thursday.

I hate waiting. Should be able to pay an extra £100 for a fast track application. Probably an instant decline for frivolous spending though :D

No mate but you can track your natwest mortgage process. Tell you when they get the report tho. And where in the grand scheme of things that they are with your application

If I didn't have personal contact with the seller I would have had no idea it was even happening, not the bank nor my broker informed me it was booked.
  • After everything flying through in a week, I have now hit snails pace!
Valuation came back at £5,000 under accepted offer, seller then accepted the survey valuation price.
Results came through, contacted seller and sorted it within 10 minutes and was sent back to NatWest within half an hour on Thursday. Still waiting for news, apparently I am just waiting for my offer... The tracker has been stuck on Survey completed since Wednesday.
I have got used to everything going really fast so don't like it now everything has slowed down.. Although I do know that I am one of the lucky ones!

I have just checked my tracker and it has now moved on to Completion :) Just waiting for my solicitor to send the Certificate of Title :)
