Mortgage applications aren't very good for people who have little patience eh?

Full application was only sent by snail mail on Friday and I am already getting ancy that I've not had a response. Said to my mum yesterday that you'd think they'd have told us by now and she couldn't stop laughing. I've been banned from her house until further notice (or offer comes through).
  • Monday update - hoping we will get some decisions this week

    Offer accepted 8th Feb
Mortgage advisor meeting 10th Feb (has gone through projections in 2016 so we knew the ballpark mortgage wise)
Solicitors instructed 9th Feb (and confirmation letters in post)
Surveyor booked for 13th Feb - our own building report
    mortgage in principal done
valuation fees paid today 16th Feb and formal mortgage applications submitted (BTL and residential)
Valuation today on house we are buying 20th Feb
Valuation on wed on BTL remortgage 22nd Feb
    Eek - I have zero patience !

  • After everything flying through in a week, I have now hit snails pace!
Valuation came back at £5,000 under accepted offer, seller then accepted the survey valuation price.
Results came through, contacted seller and sorted it within 10 minutes and was sent back to NatWest within half an hour on Thursday. Still waiting for news, apparently I am just waiting for my offer... The tracker has been stuck on Survey completed since Wednesday.
I have got used to everything going really fast so don't like it now everything has slowed down.. Although I do know that I am one of the lucky ones!

Full application went into natwest on Thursday 16th Feb....just a waiting game!

We're moving home but redeeming our current mortgage with Leeds building society as they wouldn't lend us enough nor take into account my husbands self employment! Hoping we hear soon! Applied for a 78%LTV

I have applied for a Halifax mortgage with a product fee of £999 to be added to the loan, is this payable if the mortgage is declined? Not sure if it is a product fee or booking fee.
  • I beleive this fee is only payable on taking the offer. But most cases it's added to mortage
  • MB has just emailed me for more payslips for hubs (already had last 4), bank statements - I hadnt done double sided (oops), and a couple of queries on the bank statements - sent them all back but its scary when you realise they are looking at everything on the bank statements - even direct debits to savings
