Don't panic. They will most definitely contact you should they need any further information. If it will settle your nerves then you can call and speak with someone. Every dealing with had with nationwide has been good so I see them as a good company to deal with.

Thank you. Had to phone them today as they requested proof of address. I was going to send my latest mortgage statement - which is actually from them!! So I rang and there was an issue in that the address on the payslip (work address) wasn't my home address so it confused things a bit. All sorted very swiftly.

I can see why house moving is the most stressful thing after divorce. My solicitor has me bouncing off the walls with her (lack of) speed in responding to queries.

Thought id join as worrying about this, AIP 29th Sept, full application 30th with santander now waiting on answer, only porting mortgage to New property, exact same amount and term and although I've paid this without default for 11 years they say this can still be declined, worried sick.
  • Wahoo! My mortgage offer has been accepted!

    21/09: AIP accepted.
    21/09: Valuation booked.
    29/09: Valuation carried out.
03/10: Valuation received by Halifax, reviewed and accepted.
    04/10: Mortgage offer issued.

    Good luck everyone :)

Have you instructed her to commence work prior to receiving a formal mortgage offer?
  • 20th August: Offer accepted
    23rd August: AIP received
    30th August: Mortage application submitted.
5th September: Mortgage approved subject to valuation.

** 3 week wait for valuation to happen due to vendors stalling **

    3rd October: Valuation Complete
4th October: Mortgage approved and offer letter on the way.

I wish I could be more positive about it all - the mortgage has been so fast with Natwest - seriously impressed with them and our broker.

However, house purchase is in limbo now and at threat of falling through as we have only now been told that the sellers are looking for a property - although we were told it was chain free and had been under this impression sinxe August.

    Hey there

We received our AIP from Halifax around 2 weeks ago - Viewed a house on Sunday, offer made and accepted on the Monday and Mortgage Broker got the ball rolling with Halifax same day. Halifax came back to him with a "Full Application Result: Accept" whatever that means!

All supporting documents have been emailed to mortgage broker today who will be forwarding them all onto Halifax tomorrow (Thursday) as he is not working today.

From what I can gather it will shortly be at the stage of the supporting evidence being verified by Halifax - All sounding positive so fingers crossed for a speedy turnaround! Having had no previous experience of the mortgage process it's been fairly smooth to date.

Really hope we get approved - What's our chances? LOL

    **we are in Scotland**

    :D

05/10/2016 - SMS Received from Nationwide confirming Mortgage Offer ISSUED

Such a relief and we're THRILLED, although now I'm worried about the offer, and whether it will be for the full amount. Has anyone had the text below from Nationwide or a variance of, would they point out in the SMS if the offer had some amendments?

"Hi, Nationwide here. We're pleased to let you know we've issued a mortgage offer. Please make sure you read the offer carefully."

Whoever said this is one of the most stressful life experiences really wasn't lying. And so far (touch wood) I've had it fairly easy compared to some on here.

  • Still waiting spoke to HSBC last Tuesday told they had all documents and the the application had now been passed on to the approvals department and we would have a decision in 3-5 days. Vendor getting edgy as the surveys have not been done so contacted HSBC again on Thursday told that the application had not been passed across to the correct department but that they would do it then and then should be 3-5 days. AAAARGH ! Will call again tomorrow to check everything OK - no faith in customer services at the moment !
