  • I have just spoken to my mortgage broker and he said that he has spoken to our mortgage provider and he said that the valuation looks OK and it's in front of the underwriter now. We are both extremely nervous but the broker said it will be ok. It has been going very smooth and I am waiting for the rejection as I have some adverse. I am trying to keep everything crossed.
  • Re-visiting this thread - secured my mortgage 2 years ago after an anxious 8 week wait with lots of to'ing and fro'ing.

Keep the faith - it'll all come good in the end.

Best of luck to those waiting - the people on here giving advice are wonderful to talk with about it.

Hi all, joining in this thread hopefully all will be plain sailing!

    FTB using HTB.

Appointment with Mortgage Broker today (RSCNewHomes) and they say we've passed Halifax credit checks but going through paper work we're best suited to a Santander product. Going in to seek an AIP tomorrow with full application on Friday. Fingers crossed no unexpected bumps tomorrow!
  • Hi here is my and partner timeline;

    26/9 Help to buy passed
    26/9 AIP passed
    27/9 mortgage application submitted
    3/10 valuation carried out

Now waiting for formal offer. Anyone else using principality as their lender?

Broker says we should hear something by tomorrow. We are buying a new build prop thou and are meant to be exchanging in 11 days!

Been told no issues with valuation.
  • Update, I have just received my mortgage offer from aldermore, I am over the moon.

Hi everyone. I guess I'm joining the convo after our broker submitted our full application to Santander today. It feels like it's been a long time coming to even get to this stage.

We got DIP agreed today, now the nervous waiting for any information as to the full application result begins..!

Good luck to everyone in the same boat. We've offered on a house, had it accepted and everything, so very hopeful we get through the application ok.

Good luck to you, I know how anxious the wait can be. I must have read this thread in its entirety about 2-3 times.

Seems to be different for everyone but the quicker the valuation can get locked in the better.

Do you know if you're asking to borrow at the top of your affordability? That may be when the fine-tooth comb comes out re spending habits.
