We have received message today from our MB that Leeds are happy with all the documents and information provided, valuation has been done and we can now proceed and it will take 2-3 days to issue an offer to us, is that a good sign or they will still do some checks and is there a chance to be refused at this last stage? soooooo nervous as we are so close to the offer already....***Twins mummy***0

We are in the same boat just waiting for Leeds to get back to us. Valuation done and extra documents sent. MB said Friday.0

Hi All
Long time lurker first time poster, and would like to join the anxious club!
Anxious doesn't quite cover it, does it? Well here's my timeline so far;
24/03 - Offer accepted by vendor
29/03 - Instructed Solicitor and applied over the phone to First Direct, was given an appointment (2 weeks later!!!)
12/04 - FD appointment AIP given
16/04 - Received FD info pack
18/04 - Submitted further information (verified ID, more bank statements etc.)
19/04 - Called up to accept AIP rate and pay fees
21/04 - Received text to say info received and underwriters decision would be forthcoming within 7 working days.
03/05 - 7th working day comes and goes.
04/05 - Call FD to be told they didn't in fact receive all the documents submitted, it would need to be uploaded again, told we would hear back within 24 hours after resubmitting.
05/05 - Call to check it's all been recieved and told it has and we have a slot with the underwriter on 7th May (48 hours away not 24 as previously been told).
08/05 - Call up FD again today to see what happened to be told we were miss informed before and we didn't have a slot, it will be 11th or 12th May.
May well call again today to make sure we do have a slot rather than find out later our casework has fallen behind the office fridge. Funnily enough this is not what is stressing me out, it's the EA calling up every 5 minutes telling us to hurry up or they're pulling out!
Phew! Feels good to get it off my chest though, thanks!"Meow meow meow? Meow meow-meow meow!" - Minkybob0 -
So glad (and nervous) I can now post in this thread!!
Here is our timeline
15/04/2016: DIP sorted
18/04/2016: Offer accepted
26/04/2016: Full mortgage application submitted
And we got a text from Nationwide yesterday to say the valuation is booked in for 04/05/2016, which was sorted a lot quicker than I thought it would.
Just a nervous waiting game now!
Updated timeline:
15/04/2016: DIP sorted
18/04/2016: Offer accepted
26/04/2016: Full mortgage application submitted
04/05/2016: Mortgage Valuation
11/05/2016: Mortgage Offer issued
Received a text from Nationwide this morning to say that they have issued our Mortgage offer! It was such a smooth process I'm a little bit shocked.
We are dropping our forms off to the Solicitor on Saturday which will get the ball rolling on that side of things.
There's only us and the woman above us in the chain as the owner of the house she is buying is going into rented so we are keeping our fingers crossed for a smooth run from here.
I am just praying it doesn't take an age!0 -
18th April: offer accepted on the house
21st April: sent documents to broker
26th April: further documents requested by broker
27th April: application submitted finally!
28th April: valuation and admin fee taken by Natwest.
UPDATE:
29th April: valuation done
6th May: Mortgage broker says were just waiting for the valuation to come back
11th May: Mortgage offer! We haven't received the paperwork yet but mortgage advisor says it's been accepted and paperwork will be here over next few days.
Can finally instruct solicitor!
However - vendors have now told us they aren't relocating anymore, and are looking for a house locallly. Worried they will pull out
Also - does anyone know whether the homebuyers report would have been done at the same time as valuation? I need to check with mortgage advisor but Estate agent seemed to suggest both survey and valuation had been done on same day.0 -
Waiting is killing me....broker said offer in 2-3 days.....it's 3rd day today...soooo sooo nervous!***Twins mummy***0

If you paid for a homebuyer's report, then both the survey and HB report will be done on same day. And you should get the report soon.0 -
Newbiebuyer2016, so we were in the same boat, but you've got offer already....so I guess it's not long to wait for us as well and hopefully it's not gonna be declined or something....we had to move out on 27th but this not gonna happen, will have to disappoint my landlord a little bit.***Twins mummy***0
