John, I was 3wks waiting for the Leeds. I got a broker....enough said!0

Totally agree about having a broker, mine has been a godsend, has 25 years experience and is fee free! He has sorted out issues with the developers of my build (who couldn't get the address right), issues with the Help to Buy regional office, has done my mortgage application twice now (due to delays on the build), and after giving him copies of the usual stuff at a meeting we had at a coffee shop, the only thing I've ever been asked to provide additionally was a payslip showing a bonus one year. Each mortgage approval took about a week until offer issued.
I owe him a bottle of something expensive0 -
I've got a broker, but i guess i am impatient. :rotfl:0

Just got mortgage offer in the post, subject to valuation. I wonder it will go to underwriting team that I hear so much on this forum? Will sign it and send them back and hope for the best with it!0

Hi all,
Got a decision in principle yesterday with Leeds bs; through a broker and after reading reviews qnd comments on here am subsequently bricking it!
I do have a colourful credit history which they've already seen and can see it was all paid off 5 years ago.
My broker hss advised that they mau contact my dh employer to check out some stuff, but other than that they have everything they need.
It has been less than a week since we offered on a new buuld and am already stressed. It's easier looking after a toddler than moving house!!0 -
We have had the valuation fee taken with Precise but had no definitive answer from them only a DIP??
My M.A. has said to hold off on the survey until the underwriter says yes or no.......
I had provisionally booked it for tomorrow with pinnacle surveyors....
All went in to the underwriter on Monday Evening/Tuesday Night as they said that my bf's copy of his ID was too small and to copy it again much larger.
I hope to god we get this mortgage as its our last resort...Debt Free: January 2016 :rotfl:Exchanged & Completed: 16/12/2015 :TNOT A "DIY"ER0 -
Received our mortgage offer in the post today from Natwest!! Here is our timeline -
12/10/15 - Mortgage application submitted via broker
16/10/15 - Notified via broker that we have been approved subject to valuation
20/10/15 - Valuation fee taken
23/10/15 - Valuation carried out
28/10/15 - Mortgage offer in post
Good luck to everyone else awaiting an offer. Its so stressful even when its as quick as ours was.0 -
Had to go into a Branch of Leeds BS today to sign the declaration in front of a member of staff because my signature has changed due to the nature of my work and the amount of written reports that I have to do I have had a significant change in my signature.
They confirmed the valuation had taken place though and that this form was the last part before the underwriters, so hopefully will hear something over the next few days0 -
I am confused; it doesn't take much.
Our broker has called to say congratulations and what bank account do we want the payment to come out of? And our mortgage application has been passed to his case manager!!!
So I think we've got a mortgage? It's for a new build, not yet finished.0 -
Interesting to hear that worrywart. Hopefully Leeds are that on the ball. There own service levels state 3 days, so we will see.0
