Had our house up for 18 months and been lurking on here for two years plus and found the advice of the brokers and other peoples experience invaluable.
After only five viewings in a year and a half and not much interest we were starting to lose hope of anything happening but things have finally shifted at a quick pace.
Already had a broker engaged rom last year (we got one of the guys on here who has been great)
22nd July Viewing on our house
29th July Offer received (rejected)
3rd August We view a house (we love it)
7th August Increased offer on our house (accepted)
10th August Put in offer on new house (accepted after haggling)
12th August Put in full application to Barclays (Woolwich) thru broker
13th August Paid for valuation
20th August Valuation takes place, later on same day receive email confirming offer is there and will be posted out.
We are with Barclays (Woolwich) we had our valuation today, don't know what time. I read your post and was hoping we may have received email but no nothing :-( Don't suppose we will hear anything now. Its driving me mad. Congratulations with yours :-).0 -
Santander won't accept the trust that proves I'm entitled to my inheritance. My mum spoke to her solicitor this afternoon. I won't say what he called santander but he feels confident he can sort it out for us having written the trust in the first place.
The problem is we applied on 27th July and haven't even paid for the survey yet. Their complete incompetence is delaying everything ridiculously. So unfair.0 -
Any luck James? We got our offer contract emailed over. No extras or conditions. Bam so freekin happy. Exchange has been confirmed for a week tomorrow. Completion on 4th!!
Great news. Really happy for you! Spoke to my broker today. Apparently they need to recheck my payslips as I have an extra amount on there that I get for doing more hours (contractual thing I signed up for that I can't cancel). They've had my payslips for 3 weeks... I guess it was the next reviewer that flagged it.
Doubt I'll hear anything tomorrow as they haven't even checked the valuation yet!
How did you get it emailed across?0 -
Our broker emailed it to us and our solicitor. He's been really amazing. Defo worth the £5000

Well apparently my case worker at nationwide was working till 7pm tonight and we've still not heard anything.... Either means they're requesting more info or they've not looked at it yet (or worse case scenario is a big fat no). Don't think I'm cut out for this.....0

Try to stay positive mrsbigz. No news is good news, must have a decent chance if it is still being progressed.0

Thanks James maybe I'm being a little melodramatic!! I'm just impatient and want to move yesterday. Doesn't help that the rest of our chain is equally keen to move and all waiting for us 0

Thanks Laura too!!! Hopefully we'll have an update in the morning, and of course I'll let you guys know!0

And on to page 200!
I know how you feel. Desperate to be in the place we are buying so we can make it our own. I'm actually looking forward to boxing things up!... Usually I hate moving house.
With us being ftb's it will finally be a place we can call our own and decorate however we want!0
