  • Thanks 8 - of - us. I hope so, I can't imagine they can need anything else now. It's so fustrating because each time they receive a new piece of evidence it's a 3 day wait for it to be assessed. I never felt so stressed x

yup - i'm with you all in the waiting game. had an update from our broker, who's spoken to our case handler at nationwide. they've now got all the information that was sent over friday (confirmation of cleared debts etc). on friday was told should hear today (at latest tomorrow by lunchtime). Now - the case handler has apparently said could be late afternoon tomorrow - even though she has professed to wanting to resolve this ASAP. I know i'm no expert, but seriously, how long does it take to review some statements and come to a decision. I am an actual nervous wreck now. my kids think i'm loopy. my husband (who always balances me with a sensible argument) is beginning to wilt as well. we just want a decision (any decision will do!!!)

  • Me too! We're using inheritance as a deposit and it seems santander want proof of our ancestors back to the doomsday book before they agree that we are entitled to the money we're using. I can't sleep, eat or basically function at all. I feel sick and I fear we have a long way to go yet!

    **update
No amazing news but apparently our offer is in the post so should be with us in a couple of days
She didn't say anything of what details it may hold but I couldn't be having my fingers any tighter crossed that it's all good.

I am joining all you nervous wrecks as I am going grey myself fast! :p

07/08 Met with broker and gave all relevant info
    08/08 DIP Received
    08/08 Found the perfect house
10/08 Made offer which was accepted
10-13/08 Backwards and forwards to mortgage brokers office to give him proof of salary, P60 and all relevant documentation
14/08 Full application sent to Halifax and survey fee paid
    19/08 Halifax wanted further documentation
    19/08 Further documentation sent
21/08 Advised by broker Halifax will review documentation and will updated us by COB Monday 24/08
24/08 Sitting here in the office reaching maximum anxiety mode waiting to hear if Halifax have instructed the survey, urgh! Limbo is harsh!

I have had a mortgage for the last 9 years and am in the process of selling my house (my buyers have had their survey completed etc.) as I am buying my dream home with my boyfriend - I do not remember my last mortgage application causing me so much stress! I guess between starting a new life with my boyfriend in "our" house and the house we have put an offer on being perfect for us has made me really want it this time!

I am keeping my fingers crossed for all of us! :)
